Very cool visual, but the test results are not at all acurate. It put me at 4316kb/s download speed, when my actual speed at this moment is well over 24,000. It tends to range between 20,000kb/s and 35,000kb/s, depending on the day, and that's what I'm paying Adelphia for, even though I hate their freakin' guts.

 Entertaining to note that this was tested on my laptop, sitting at the bottom of the garden, with about two bars of wifi signal, and Skype, Trillian, and six browser sessions running in background. So - not exactly rip-roaring, but considering I'm about 140' away from the router, I'm not complaining. Nothing wrong with lying in the hammock, sipping a beer and surfing the forums _____________________

For acurate speed measurement, always use www.testmy.net. How do they get around the problem of net congestion? I have a cable connection that is roughly 7 megabit. Here is what testmy.net tells me: Your connection is: 1623 Kbps or 1.62 Mbps Wrongo. The speedtest at my ISP shows me between 6500-7000+ Kbps every time. The speed at which I can download large files confirms this. For accurate speed measurement, use the speed test provided by your ISP. _____________________
