This comes from someone who, in argument, ignores actual points and argues symantics and tries to lock on to fabrication, misstatement, and apparent hypocrisy in nearly every argument he makes.

WASHINGTON - U.S. citizens suspected of terror ties might be detained indefinitely and barred from access to civilian courts under legislation proposed by the Bush administration, say legal experts reviewing an early version of the bill.

Legal experts said Friday that such language is dangerously broad and could authorize the military to detain indefinitely U.S. citizens who had only tenuous ties to terror networks like al Qaeda.

"That's the big question ... the definition of who can be detained," said Martin Lederman, a law professor at Georgetown University who posted a copy of the bill to a Web blog.

The problem, Kevn, is that just reversing what I said doesn't make your statement valid. By contrast, my statement actually is valid. Why? Because Christianity by definition itself necessarily includes horrendous, monstrous, evil acts such as those outlined in Deuteronomy. Again, any given Christian is not necessarily evil, and indeed, most "Christians" only selectively obey their books and really have no clue what all those books actually say, but Christianity itself is definitely evil, at least by my and I think most people's definitions of evil.

After all, as I've pointed out more than once before, the Inquisition was an act perpetrated by true Christians who read all of their book and obeyed it. It is a perfect historical illustration of what Christianity really is.

I'll take it a step further.

Followers of Christ = good people

Christianity =/= following of Christ

Christianity = following Men and the Bible

Men (according to the Bible) = born with Sin/Evil

Bible = Instruction booklet on an evil deity

Christianity = evil

Followers of Christ =/= members of Christianity.

Corvus, by current definitions I could be a "terrorist" because I'm critical of my government, and I read (with a genuine intent to uncover real information, not just Nora Roberts novels).

The only thing I have going for me is that I'm not important enough to go after. At least, I hope I'm not.

The trouble, Corvus, is that Christ is quoted as saying that he's specifically not changing a thing, that all of the old rules are still in force. In other words, if you follow Christ, you must by definition follow the whole book, Old Testament included.

I'll dig up the passage later if you like -- I posted it once before in I think Atheists Who Attack Christianity, but I don't have time right this second.
