You can't play because the server is in maintenance. Go out, smoke a cig, drink your coffee and read the paper. You'll be back in SL in no time.

They have finally posted a "DOWN FOR UNEXPECTED MAINTENANCE. WE WILL BE BACK UP VERY SHORTLY" message. In other words "we screwed up.. sorry about your luck, now go shopping, have your hair down, clean your house, clean your neighbours house, then we may be back up IF everything goes quickly"

YEs ppl it would figure that SL would go down on a holiday when noone is in the office to deal with this matter
 But we can't do a damn thing about it .other than find something else to do.... Just think about all those poor ppl in Fla. and be thankfull we are not them!!! so you see it could worse right?? |

Daniel Cruyff, I wasnt being mean.. or wasnt trying to... just joking around. HOWEVER.. what I ment by screw up was, it took an hour to post a notice, and the status page still says "OPEN"

Well... I'm in game but my clothing won't download (I'm invisible) and it's not showing how much L$ I have (disturbing since I just bought L$5000 last night). Hopefully these things are being worked on(???) ....Chalks another SL 1.5 failure tick mark up on the board... I really hope SL is just having a short lived string of bad luck... but optimism isn't my strong suit.

okay - I tried relogging (big mistake) that didn't fix the problems I was having... and this time it took me about 9 or 10 tries to get back in... the connection was getting stuck and failing on the "connecting to user server" or whatever part.
I'm hoping since the log in is soooo slow, that once that gets resolved the L$ and my body will magically reappear. _____________________

Confirmed. I get to contacting user server, and then get dropped to login. I got in once, and then the client closed with no error about four minutes later.
