Any idea why you get logged out when you think you have turned off your afk timer?
What did you do to turn off your afk timer?
Do you get a message saying you are being logged out?
There is at least one process associated with voice in SL using XP, it's SLVoice.exe.
Have you checked that your ports are open properly?
What kind of internet service do you have?
What model is your modem?
What model is your router?
You say voice works only once a day. Is the amount of time it takes for voice to work again exactly 24 hours?
Have you tried to find a similar problem at jira.secondlife.com?
Can you provide the exact version number of SL you are using, not just "the latest version"?

From: SuezanneC Baskerville Any idea why you get logged out when you think you have turned off your afk timer? I'm honestly surprised it's not implemented server-side.

Any idea why you get logged out when you think you have turned off your afk timer? I have no idea, my afktimer is set to exactly this: -2147483.750 seconds. What did you do to turn off your afk timer? I went to debug menu > afkTimeout > and put in alot of numbers and it automatically turns it into -2147483.750 seconds. It worked before but now it's not working, so I keep getting timed out and I'm clueless. :/ Do you get a message saying you are being logged out? Yes, I get that message like anyone else who is being logged out. There is at least one process associated with voice in SL using XP, it's SLVoice.exe. I know. Have you checked that your ports are open properly? They're fine. What kind of internet service do you have? Not sure, but it's fast. And voice used to work perfectly then it gives me this retarded crap. What model is your modem? Linksys...something? What model is your router? Earthlink, that or it's Linksys and my modem is Earthlink. You say voice works only once a day. Is the amount of time it takes for voice to work again exactly 24 hours? Not exactly 24 hours because sometimes I don't go to bed until like 6:30 in the morning, I come back around noon and it works fine. One day it actually worked 3 times in a row, I thought it was going to start working but I don't know how it pulled that off when it did, just to not work after that. The 3 times in a row occured in like the same 15 minutes or so? Have you tried to find a similar problem at jira.secondlife.com? No. Can you provide the exact version number of SL you are using, not just "the latest version"? Uhm...1.21.6 (99587)

Do you still have your afk timeout set at -2147483.750 seconds?
Try resetting that to default.
Try the latest release candidate.
Try alternate viewers such as the Cool Viewer. To find Cool Viewer go to Google and type in Cool Viewer Boy Lane and the first or second link will take you to the site.
You didn't respond in proper detail to the questions about your system specs so try this url: jira.secondlife.com. Good luck.
