also, make sure you download the 0.5.2 patch off the web site, not using the auto-updater. i have no problems that way ;)

as i posted already a FORMAT was not going to happen since it was fine before. i already uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and its still going ape.....on me

i installed the beta client 5.2 and still its crazy. its like the printer is possed or however you spell it....never was good in english class..the paper light is blinking cuz i took the paper far away enough that it wont keep spitting the paper back out, it says that number of pages is NA so its going to keep spitting untill something is done.

can i maybe right a code in C/C++ to have the damn forgot what its called the printer memory to clear out like a scanf does to a keyboard to flush out the memory? maybe the code is stuck in that part....forgot the name

double click on the printer icon in the bottom right corner of your screen by the clock. If you don't see one then click the '<' sign to show all the little icons there. If it is still not there go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Printers (give or take) and double click on the printer that is giving you problems.

After you double click on it, in the window that pops up click the left most menu ('Printer'), one option should be 'Cancel All Documents' click that and wait.

You can also right click on the document and select 'Cancel Document' from there.

If that is not the case or that doesn't help then do this:

Shut down the computer.
Let the computer sit for about 5 minutes.
Unplug the printer from the wall.
Unplug the printer from the computer.
Turn on the computer.
Write down any error messages you get, and post them here.
Let the computer sit for about 5 minutes.
Turn off the computer.
Let the computer sit for about 5 minutes.
Plug the printer back in to the wall.
Does it start printing again imediatly - or trying to?
Plug the printer back in to the computer.
Turn the computer on.
Does the printer still act weird? Do you get any error messages?

A better post about your problem would have mentioned that the paper light is blinking (cuz you took all the paper out) and that windows thinks there is a document trying to print with NA number of pages. Both of those pieces of information are useful and help point to what is really happening, because believe it or not, computers and printers don't usually get possessed.

If none of that works there are more options available. And again, the more details you give the more likely someone will be able to help you.

ok chief im going to try your ideas but i already tried the cancel all documents and no go with that.

the light is blinking but thats cuz i got sick and tired of the mofo spitting up paper 24/7 when i give it paper, its like a little baby that keeps reaching out for a lolly pop with its little claws until you give it the lolly pop.

all the printer is saying please give me the paper i want to spit blank pages out.

and i yell YOU !@#!@#!@#!#_)i#$%)(#$_)$#%($_)#%(#$)_(%
YOU WANT TO GET SLAPT?

no no all i want is the paper

and i yell @#$!@$$%&%$*^*^(&;)*(&#$@^%&^%*$^(^*(* NOW YOU DIE :D

let try try your methods kind sir
**ok i did what you requested and it didnt work, i thought it worked
untill xp kicked in and said it installed new drivers after restarting it cuz i uninstalled it when i turned it off for 5minutes or so then turned it on uninstalled the printer and stuff then turned it off and waited sometime and then pluged everything back up and as windows xp started it installed the drivers, i never used the cd to install the printer should i though?

what information would you like me to tell you Omega besides this printer is possessed and needs the 2 priests to tell the demon to leave :D

Ahh the curse of windows auto install.

ok try this then:

Download new drivers for the printer from their website.
Uninstall the printer
Without restarting the computer, do a new printer install and use the drivers you just downloaded. The whole time you do this the printer should be off.
Reboot the computer.

If that doesn't work, try disabling print spooling in the printer properties, go for a while without it and then reenable it. This is on the advanced tab in winxp. Also make sure 'Keep printed documents' is not checked.

Also if you can figure out which process it is that is printing you could try and stop it from task manager. should be spooler or something.

As a last resort, if you have WindowsXP and havn't dissable it, you should be able to do a roll back to two/three days ago before this incident which should reset everything to how it was. This effects windows settings only and will not change any other data on your computer (files you created etc.).
