Also, the bits along the Mauve/Mocha border... specifically Haneys...

I support the call for stickying this thread, or at least making some other generic sticky thread for all land issues requiring support action.

Edit: Even better, make a new forum with a range of predefined threads (land, lag, broken roads, etc), purely for advising Lindens about world maintenance issues. This thread would be good there for openers.

Taken care of to date. I also did some proactive work following the roads. I will continue this as time permits. Meanwhile, please keep submitting locations. Please remember this cleanup is for Linden owned land. If you find "trash" on land owned by a resident, please contact them directly.

is there any specific policy about what to do if someone 'moves in' and squats on someone elses' land (say an out of game lifetimer)? Theres a large flashing texture+light sign clothes store that basically is squatting an abandoned lifetime plot and i don't exactly know what can be done about it... I've im'ed both the person who owns the store (who has previously admitted to not knowing the plot owner either) and the actual plot owner (who hasn logged in in 6+ months) but nothing has come of it.

Mauve 0,255
Mauve 2,178
Green 255,119
Mauve 1,78

And this particular problem may be old, but I just realized that there are two 32m plots of land that SHOULD be protected waterways, but instead were sold to landowners in Magenta, one at 1,63, the other at 1,102. I'm not too terribly concerned about the first one, since any waterway that might've once connected there has since been destroyed, but the other one is basically now a barrier of land splitting what used to be a continuous waterway. Can this be solved, somehow?

There is Linden-owned non-return land at Europa (60,124).

All the chunks of Linden land in Europa are no-script, which seems harsh. (104,83), (60,124) and (227,218) for that if it is accidental. I agree with Moleculor that it seems like a bad idea, particularly on the roadway at (227,218)...

The roadway in Ganymede next door has scripts enabled, similarly Leda and Montara. The Phobos roads (171, 81) are no script, though.

Natoma 220,135
Natoma 220,137
Natoma 218,135
Natoma 218,127

You'll probably want to actually join these plots together, THEN set them to auto-return (but careful about destroying the Linden-Sculpture!)

I'm up to date.

Eltee, great question. We're looking into it.

Moleculor, one of the waterways still goes through even though there is a section that has ownership other than Linden ownership. The other is a T off of the first and while I'm not sure of the history of that plot there isnt really anything we can currently do about it since it is player owned.

Alexander, the roads are set to allow scripts.

Thanks everyone for their reports.

:)

Jill here's a couple more ...

Orwood 001 (68,66)
Bishop 023 (224,50)

and all the linden owned water around the rivers and islands there.

these are in a sim corner and seem to be where everyones errant objects wind up.

The land is routinely flipped from accessable to inaccessable-through-bans by the owners of the plot (about three times in the past two weeks, at the very least), plus the land was once much higher than it is now. People shouldn't be able to block waterways like that.

Moleculor,

IM me in world. I'll see what we can do from the Indigo side on the water ways, and talk about the parcel access.

Regards,

I'm wondering aloud, but: why don't the Lindens just set all of thier land to auto-return after, say, 10min?

Am I missing a major pitfall in doing something like that?

They do. Usually. This thread is for letting the Lindens know when land ISN'T set that way, so that they can.

Luna 75,86
Luna 67,76

Other various Luna plots.

This is especially important, as there's a swarm of 140+ very tiny invisible physics enabled cubes laying on the ground here. Possibly interpenetrating the walkway.

Unfortunately, it seems as though the fountain here is NOT owned by the Linden who owns the land, so perhaps you'll need to transfer ownership of either before returning the objects?

Speaking of Linden land, I really think it should allow rezzing on most of it(with an auto return of course) to allow certain scripts to run. I'd also like to see a longer auto return... 10 - 15 minutes. 5 minutes is a bit short -- some places are -1- minute. I can barely stop a vehicle to enjoy the scenery on say -- an ocean sim.
