Can't log in.

So...tell me I'm not the only person who still can't log in. For whatever reason, no matter what version of the Second Life client I run, I've been wholey unable to log in since about 5:00 SLT yesterday (December 29th). The usual splash page also refuses to show up. What happens when I log in is it takes about five minutes to "verify cache contents" (during which time Second Life becomes "unresponsive") and then hangs on the "logging in" screen only to "retry" once or twice more (depending on how many times I've tried logging in prior), then ultimately says "despite our best efforts, something has gone wrong" and dumps be back on the login screen. As stated, I've tried this with all current versions of Second Life. If it helps at all, I've already tried clearing my cache and I'm running Windows Vista on a satellite internet connection. I was able to log in just fine earlier yesterday and other people seem to be able to log in just fine... I seriously hope this is fixed some time soon.
