Changed my defult language to english.. still getting all the same error lock out messages, but now because I had to change the defult language 90% of my japanese programs are total jibberish............. even if it worked I'm not sure I could deal with this.
In any case I have some very serious questions, these are not threats please don't take them as such..
Will there ever be any effort to fix this? I have an island.. monthly fees are expensive. It would be extremely sad to part with it but we have to be realistic, why pay for something you can't use?
Will there be any updates soon? Linden suggestions as to other things I might be able to try... or even normal users, help! Ideas....?

Computers with Intel graphics are not compatible with Second Life.
We have never supported Intel graphics.
There is no troubleshooting step for unsupported hardware that stands more than a 1% chance of working for any specific person. That's why the hardware is unsupported. We can't "fix it" because no fix exists.
If you use Intel Graphics, I can provide zero suggestions. You MUST run Second Life on compatible hardware. All software has system requirements, and ours have not changed in three years.
If you do not meet the system requirements, we cannot provide support. That means no troubleshooting, no suggestions, no "fixes". We're not holding out on magic fixes; they don't exist.
And for those who insist we fix these unsupported cards because residents have chosen to use them: Several versions back, we did go out of our way to write significant code to allow the Intel cards to run Second Life without crashing immediately. Ultimately, most of the cards crashed anyway, in their own drivers; they simply could not handle drawing Second Life. Did every single Intel card crash? No, some of them worked and were somewhat stable, and those residents were happy. But it was the same situation it was today: If you used Intel and crashed, we didn't have any suggestion but "please use compatible hardware".
My only new suggestion would be to contact Intel, and express your displeasure that their widely used product does not adequately support the rendering standard we use. There's not much we can do, however.

Here's my problem that I have been trying to get help on and I am in back and forth e-mails with the technical staff but I am wondering if there are any users with ideas to solve my problem or if anyone has had the same thing and managed to solve it.
System: Intel 2.4 Gig ASUS P4PE motherboard 768MB RAM, DDR333 ATI RADEON 9000 64 MB 128 bit DirectX 8 video card Latest video driver, bios, audio driver.
Other configuration same as above but with a NVidea FX5500 256MB 128 bit DirectX 9.0 video card.
I have been playing for close to 2 years now using the ATI card without any problems including upto SL version 1.10.0. After update 1.10.1 SL just stopped working. I click the SL icon and get the hourglass for about 2 seconds but nothing starts up, no log on screen at all. I decided to give the FX5500 card a try in case that was the problem but that didn't fix anything.
According to the SL technical staff everything on my system looks fine and it should be running. Nothing on my system has changed and I can even go back to version 1.8 which will take me as far as the screen updater at which point I download the latest version. Once installed I get the "Start SL Now" dialogue box, I click yes but nothing starts up.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated. It is closing in on 2 weeks now without SL and I am beginning to have withdrawal symptoms, rofl.

I did another post but all I got were people saying what their problems were, lol. I figured my specs should be enough to run SL but SL doesn't think so.

I'm in the same boat as regards to my unsupported card suddenly becoming, well, *really* unsupported. Now, I'm not railing and ranting at Lindon Labs -- after all, I have always gotten a warning box on startup informing me that my card was going to be trouble sooner or later...
But that does not mean that I would not be appreciative of any workaround anyone comes up with to get me some sort of access from my laptop, even at drastically reduced graphics. Otherwise, I am really going to miss being able to jump in for a bit to check on things while on the road...
The video card is question is a ATI Radion IGP, uh, 300? (I don't have my laptop right here with me.) So far no combo of drivers/settings have given me anything but a crash seconds after rezzing...

From: Ameshin Yossarian Hi yeah I have an unsupported laptop pc ((GASP)) I just bought it. Anyway, so... does this new update just completely lock anyone out that doesn't have compatible video cards?
Here are my specs:
Processor Intel Pentium M 1731MHz Display Card Intel(R) Mobile 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Family Memory 512MB Operating System Microsoft Windows XP (JAPANESE VERSION) Display Card Memory 128MB Display Driver Version 6.14.10.4332 DirectX Version 9.0c Optical Drive CD/DVD Sound Card Realtek HD Audio output
You will not be locked out; you will just have a much poorer experience than on a computer with more current specs. The main issue is the video card, especially when using the Intel chips that share your system memory rather than have its own dedicated video RAM. The Intel 915 series is similar to the Extreme 2 on desktops (in fact, in Linux my Extreme 2 is picked up as an i915) and it will run SL just fine, but slowly (I have the Intel Extreme 2 on my desktop and while I can log in, I typically get less than two frames per second, which makes maneuvering difficult. I finally plunked down $50 for an nVidia GeForce MX 4000, which while still slow, speeds things up enough to make getting around much easier). Note that the web site specifically says that if your card is an "Extreme" that SL won't work. That's not true. It's been working fine for me. The desktop system has 1 GB RAM and a 1.7 GHz Celeron. I have two other computers, both laptops. The 12-inch iBook (768 MB RAM, 1.2 GHz G4, ATI Radeon Mobility 9200) produces about the same result as my desktop with the nVidia card (4-5 fps, and the Mac very hard time downloading textures); my ThinkPad R51 (768 MB RAM, 1.6 GHz Pentium M, ATI Radeon Mobility 7500) *smokes* on this game with frame rates well over 10-15 fps, which is impressive for a game of this kind.

From: Zack Quasimodo My laptop is unsupported as well, it has an ATI Radeon mobility 7500 chip in it. Game plays fine for the most part, a little lag and crappy FPS, but it works. How did you get it to work? I have the same video card but it won't let me in at all...

Hey Ameshin, what about upgrading your graphic chipset driver, here, "Get the Latest Graphics Driver - Version PV14.24" ? I'm not sure if it works or not though.
