I've read the threads, I've carefully researched the data, there is only one solution to this problem.

******A PARTY*******

All sims who feel that their dwell is being wiped off the face of SL sound off...we get a travelling party together..invite friends who invite their friends..et cetera et cetera et cetera

We sim hop. We spend the required five minutes..heck make it 10....to register the dwellage and move on. Like a partying plague of locusts. Each sim we inflict ourselves on can choose to have a lottery a sale a contest....or nothing....whatever floats your boat. Jack the dwells up to the cieiling. Like a rate party. Do it once a week for a month....however long it takes to show that there is a problem...or isnt...it'll be there for all SL to see. Best part is..we have fun doing it. No demonstrations...no hollerin, just a massive migration of people having a good time. All we need to do, is set a day....gather our friends and dwell a little here, dwell a little there....my only concern..who;s gonna bring the beer. Peace and brownies y'all! Jase Byrne

However, since each av only gets 1pt of dwell per day (according to Cory Linden) to divide among all land visited, each location will get a miniscule amount of dwell from the quick stopovers. Even if it's more like 100pts per av per day, what your suggesting is still nearly pointless. Except for the having fun part, of course!

Hmmmm. I have a small 512 m2 plot of land in back-of-beyond Thams. When I first got the land, I watched the dwell in the land info window. When there was dwell (usually there was not), I registered 3-5 dwell, depending on the day. I never noticed a bonus, although I didn't really understand the Account History window at the time.

I have an alt, that I use for testing and to "get away from the IMs". She tends to hang around my land when not attending events.

I also have access to my boyfriend's av, and I have been working on his appearance lately, at his request. He also logged off on my land.

When both of these avs spend at least 5 minutes online and solely on my land, I register 41 dwell and L$18 the next day. These numbers are the ones that I see repeated most often, so I would assume they are the most accurate.

I find it *highly* unlikely that 39 random people wandered onto my land, when it was only 3-5 (if any) before. Might want to check those "1 point of dwell" records again, Cory... ;)

In any case, there are a few hard numbers for you, for what they're worth.

All in favor of a travelling herd of pointless fun driven people...IM me...maybe it wont prove anything..but it's like giving chicken soup to a dead man..can't hurt. Besides...it'll draw some attention to the concern as we trek about like tispy gypsies...just picking up folks as we go. Sort of like ...a Love -in...postiive action...a Dwell In. A mardi gras, disneys closing parade...fireworks and floats..WHATEVER...just let's get together and DO something. I'm willing to be the sacrificial chicken for the stock..I just need some willing vegetables to boil with me.

Peace and brownies...

Maybe they should go back to voting and forget dwell.
