Personally, i dont trust that new viewer at all. First thing i would do is download one of the other viewers like Greenlife Emerald (which is what i use). If it works, then you know its an issue with the other viewer. If you're still getting the same problem, then its a problem with your computer (more specifically, probably video card/driver issues).

Is it possible that maybe your display got set to 16 bit by accident?
