I had issue my account got deleted as it has 3.04 balance owning and apparently since you send so much junk it auto spammed the messaged I guess and never got it.

Now been almost 2 weeks my tickets not been answered and I'm just upset for someone who's paid 1000's into SL and has had there account deleted over 3$ balance.

I really like some answers and not be ignored..

LL really needs to get an ombudsman or something to deal with all the nonsese their twisty maze of policies creates.

You just have to get a positive balance on the account and it will reactivate. It happened to a friend of mine...they "suspended" his account because his bank didn't recognize LL as a valid charge and declined the charge as fraudulent. lol

What result are you hoping to come from posting here? It is unlikely that a Linden staff person will read this, especially that someone in the accounting closing, billing, etc., department would be reading the technical help forum.

Have you called the billing department?

What's the process someone would need to go throught to add money to their account in a situation like this?

One of my accounts was deleted in the same fashiion. The account was deleted because of a negative balance for 30 days. At that point you can pay what you owe to save your credit rating but the account is gone. The only reason I got my account back was because she was the legal owner of a island I was selling so they had to re-activate her to make the island sale. All of her inventory is gone and they will not retrieve it. If you were a free account you could have sat on the server forever with no repercussions.

That's a concern for me, too.

What I'd like is just a company policy that doesn't include automatic deletion happening after X inactive months or when an account is in arrears. It would be kinder if a premium, having gone into arrears or become inactive, was downgraded to a free account, and left intact barring landholdings.

An email automatically generated saying, "Hey, log in to the website at least or your account will be deleted from inactivity," it would be a kindness.

To me that would add a great deal tp premium - just knowing it isn't a more risky choice than basic.

To me its dumb most people think its my fault and haha u suck...

I mean come on.. I'm a victim just as much as opensims people who are getting price hikes..

Its just funny someone who has put in 1000's gets his account locked and deleted and then there is these free account people I will call them leechers whos never been a prem member and such who has gotten away with everything.

I remember people who use to take the grid down and get banned for 14 days and here I am paying for a service with no refund or sorry.

Something went badly wrong here, it's LL policy to delete accounts without informing the user? Downgrading the account is clearly the only acceptable thing to do.

I like that idea. Downgrade the account to basic and keep the negative balance on the avatar.

I would have no issue paying the -3.04 or even paying lets say $25 unlock fee if they need a way to scam us.. But Nope lets take there $1000's of items and rep and not only that lets take even last L$ on the account.. I don't recall the balance but I bet there was over 10k.

You had an L$ balance that was more than the US$ you owed when they closed the account?

Now I have had mixed deals with LL, some random abuse reports for griefers in a sandbox {Pretty funny in my opinion, who spams with mega prims?} Anyways why not tell LL that they can take some of the L and use it to pay off the negative balance? You pay $ or your current currency to buy ingame cash so why not have them grab back the exact amount and open your account again

I agree. Its outrageous that they dont do this. They can easily return your stuff on any land you maybe have before they reclaim it. If you dont pay the tier is fair enough if LL take the land back. But to delete the account of a paying customer when they got zillions of freebie accounts that have never paid anything ever just makes me mad. They could just lock the account even, so that when you try login with it you get a message asking you to please contact Accounts department.

Like lots of people I try to give LL the benefit of the doubt and always try look on the brightside of things. But I get really furious when I hear about these kinds of things happening to people.

I just wish LL would be more willing to talk to me and maybe even solve this issue. I think them saying deleted gone forever has to be a lie.. Any company with half a brain would not do a such thing.

I voted for it.
