Even houses and buildings come from real life so even those ideas are stolen.

What?

Building styles probably. Like artsy structures and office buildings.
Though that's getting a little overboard.

.... in relation to what you're saying: To stream music online non-24-7 for less than 50 people doesn't fall onto any liscense anyway. If the dj has purchased the music they are playing, playing for 50 people or less, and making at most $10USD, that is legitimate.

Oh.... fantastic, the liscensing laws are different for SL then?... hmm funny, I have never some across any such liscensing agreements relating to any form of reproduction for public display/playing, either for personal or commercial useage?

Many people have, and no doubt will, fall foul of the copyright laws broken in SL. I am no party pooper, and dislike many of the anal retentive laws that the media industries have, but it's the lawyers and judges that inflict severe penalties that will have the last say in the matter.

Hmm Lawyers and Judges? How long will you let them rule everything? Trial by Jury mean nothing anymore? If the music companies pay enough money, eventually they will have us all thrown in jail for listening to the radio and not tithing 10% of our income if you continue to believe such! If you come to my house and we listen in my living room must we pay royalties then too? Stop defending crooks, music is free!!! I am starving artist myself, so it would be nice to get money for the work I do, but I do not expect it... or sick greedy lawyer on you if you do not pay! The "law" is whatever someone can convince another it is... so stop spreading corporate propaganda!!!

Your post sounds quite naive, if you had been following current events you would know that quite a few vendors have been told to remove their goods due to copyright. One club owner was told he couldn't play a bands music by the producers. The more real life companies that turn their eye towards the huge revenues in SL, the more chance more will be caught.
I certainly don't defend crooks and I am insulted that you would accuse me of doing so. Assuming you do actually read copyright laws applicable to the CD you buy, you would know that you can play it in your living room and with friends, providing you don't get paid for doing so. I am not here to educate you in the law, nor convince you what the law is. "The spreading or corporate propaganda" is just another naive statement.
