A Waste Of Time and Energy
03-25-2005 05:37
The human race has produced an ample supply of things and processes which might be labeled disgusting by any definition one cares to use.
Why not spending the time and energy that would be taken up by a disgustingness contest trying to make something beautiful or delightful, something esthetically pleasing, something the opposite of disgusting?

Because this was a disgusting build contest. To build something the opposite of disgusting would have defeated the purpose and would have had no chance of winning.

I want to thank everyone for their participation in this contest. I had alot of fun and the quality of your builds amazed me. I will post the winners later tonight when I get home.
Anyone interested in seeing the builds should go to Aasim today. The builds are located in the southeast and southwest quadrants of that sim. Bring your cameras.
Because of the success of this venture, I will be hosting similar events in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes peeled for future announcements.
I am at work atm and do not have access to SL, can anyone post pics?

Those ARE Absolutely Disgusting Builds!
Glad they're not my neighbors, and I mean that in the most sincere, flatteringly impressed way!
CONGRATS on your outward expressions of that which festers inside!

As a builder I respect a lot, I too am disappointed that Skunken missed it. Nonetheless, it was fun, and I want to congratulate Schwanson for doing something rather than bemoaning the lack of creative events (which is so much easier). Huzzah!

My curiosity wins out over my good judgement.

I have weakened, and will look at Roberta's pics. -------------------------------------------------------------- Well, thank goodness, they weren't nearly as bad as I had thought they might. I even got a laugh out of it.
That link that someone mentioned the other day that I could just as well have done without kinda made me a little more fearful of what to expect.

This was very entertaining... Great way to express some very gross ideas in the "proper" environment. No one would want any of these things next door to them. Looking forward to the next one.
