Does the ripplewater require at least 2.0 support?

I also miss seeing the word "cyberspace" used more. I came across the word "hyperspace" while doing an paper on technoshamanism. Cyberspace is nostalgic, and reminds me of the '90s ![]() _____________________

LUKE: Why don't you outrun them? I thought you said this thing was fast.
HAN: Watch your mouth, kid, or you're going to find yourself floating home. We'll be safe enough once we make the jump to hyperspace. Besides, I know a few maneuvers. We'll lose them! |

If your having trouble with a card that you know supports pixelshaders, i would recommending trying the latest drivers direct from nvidia or ati / www.omegadrivers.net for laptops

hyperspace? hyperspace is 80s for what happens at the speed of light. Not quite -- hyperspace describes an additional spatial dimension wherein physics as we know it does not apply. The proposed result being faster-than-light travel while moving through said space. ![]() _____________________

When we get a virtual tide! Seeing as we already have a virtual moon I don't understand why there are not waves. =0

i must say that it does look very oily. not something i would want to bathe in unless i want to find myself being cleaned off by some cleanup workers with sponges and paper towels. . . actually i take that back. . . i wouldn't mind if the guy doing the cleaning was good looking.

Another thing I just realized is that this takes care of that godawful flat sun/moon reflection on the water. Hallelujah!

the waves are no height Chip. The old method actually changed the shape of the surface, this just puts neat effects on a flat surface. Yay! Thanks, Rickard. _____________________

This is a hypnotic effect.... I was just hanging around doing nothing but staring at the water. Now if only they'd put Moraine up on the preview grid so I cold see what my place looks like with ripply water...

Yay ripples!
I also like how subtle the water when shallow and joining up with the land, no harsh blue lines ![]() _____________________

Also wondering. Furthermore, this feature requires pixelshaders, and the Ti4600 DOES support those, at least 1.1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_computer_games_that_require_Pixel_Shaders Does the ripplewater require at least 2.0 support? _____________________

Torely that link seems to imply that we need to have Microsoft Direct X (expletive deleted) to have pixel-shading support? Does anyone know if this is true? I dont think this would be true, sl is pretty much designed to be platform compatible, so this should work on macs too. So far it looks like cards with pixelshader 2.0 and above support are working, anybody with an ati radeon 8500-9200 with the latest catalysts? And if you have a geforce 4ti card try the latest nvidia drivers. note geforce 4mx cards dont support pixelshaders _____________________

Does anyone know how the water effects are generated? ie, is it a dynamically generated texture (kinda like the clouds or the night sky), or is it just a repeating texture face snazzied up?
