Don't get me wrong, I hate Bush as well. But consider ... He has understood bow Bush & company operate and is now pushing his views in such a way that people will pay him ridiculous amounts of money just to go away. In seeking to tell everyone to get rid of Bush, he has adopted some of the Bush methods. Sets a whole new level of hypocrasy eh?

It would be hypocrasy if his intent was to spread his message, but it ain't. Rumor has it he actually admitted to Jonny Dingo that its all a scam and that he'll probly stop when he gets bored. Unfortunately he's making big bucks off this so it'll never end so long as his income countinues to spark his interest.

heh, if we had negative ratings still - he'd be -90.000. This guy is like public enemy number one. I've started looking for these signs any time im in the market for land. Nothing like those blue bastards to kill a sim.

btw: Impeachment doesn't mean a president must leave office, or even that he's done something wrong. It's more like an arraignment than a condemnation. With Nixon, he knew he'd been caught with his hand in the cookie jar so he left office before they could try him.

Im new, so theres alot of things I do not understand yet. But I know that the Bush signs were one of the biggest turns off to the game for me. And im sure it is to alot of other people. Is there nothing LL can do about this? Not only is it a form of harrassment, im sure it turns away potential players as well who do not understand why and how this is being done.

Sounds like a good use for a 'teleport home' script that 'accidentally' fires way too many times!

Ooopsie seem to have crashed your client from flying over my land - my bad - yeah I'll get onto that really soon - around about the same time you take down that sign eh?

Oh and the guy putting them up has his own plot of land it used to be in his pictures in his profile, but I guess he got tired of people tracking him down. His main lot supports thousands of prims, guess how many impeach bush signs are there. ..... if you said 3 you are correct. And there not located on the edge where his nieghbors have to look at them. There right in the middle of his own land. Probably just temporarly while he figures out ways to make them tackier. Yes if you complain about 3 stacked up he makes it 5 and sets the top one to spin. Also if you ask him seriosly how can we get this impeach bush thing to happen. He doesn't have a clue says to contact your congressman. Then will they go away? His reply "no!". If bush gets impeached then He plans to put up raise taxes to feed the poor signs. Then he uses something to send you home and invites you to come back and play some more.

This tool stuck a bunch of signs around my plot in Hennepin. What's worse is the comedy king who stuck up a couple IMPEACH LAND EXTORTIONISTS LOLOLOLOL signs that *don't* go away when you click them. Look, I hate this crap as much as you do, but what makes you think the solution to the problem is to clutter up my view even *more*?

Just curious HAS there been any official word about this from our liege lords?

From what ive seen and read the more you fight him the more signs you end up with.

When you have a spoiled child the best course of action is to first explain that they can not have what they want all the time. then when they continue to cry you simply do not give them what they want when they want it no matter how much noise thay make. Finally if they still make noise and pitch a fit being obnoxious its time to take there toys from them and sit them in a corner for a bit.

Or optionaly:

Get the ropes , pitch forks and torches we storm the castle at dusk!

Great theory, but since he's not completely blocking my view 100% with crap, and it's not like he's coming forward and saying 'Yes I am totally putting them out just to frost people's collective shorts' then he's not breaking the TOS. He's still acting like a dick, though. Point is, that he's not doing anything the admins can do anything about, so the more you screw around with him, the more signs I'm going to have to deal with.

Enh. It's not really a big thing, my main build is high enough up that I don't see the signs anyway. Just a pain in my ass is all.

You want to help get him gone?

I have recently started a group, the Anti Lazarus Divine Initiative. It is a petition of sorts, and if you join it means that you support his being banned from the game, or at least having the Linden's making him stop his land extortion scheme. You want to get rid of him, add your name to the list.

Based on my understanding of current Linden policy toward acceptable private security systems, I've posted a detailed Hotline question on the fair-play aspects of a potential Grid-wide countermeasure a friend and I have sketched out.

Pending their answer, I'm trying to nail down some specific ideas for managing a large number of fairly simple devices in a quick and reasonably low-lag manner...and nothing's been stress- or scalability-tested yet.

But I think private property rights may yet be a good, sharp two-edged sword.

AL Gore LOL I would of voted for him but I failed to find where he really did invent the internet :D
LOL silliness

Gore never claimed to have invented the internet. Just another lie from the Republicans. Lies like, Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, we'll be out in 6 months, there's a connection between Iraq and al-Qaeda, Iraq is trying to buy uranium from Africa, we'll be welcomed with flowers, we've found the weapons of mass destruction, mission accomplished, we don't torture people, rendition is legal, and most recently, that George Bush has a plan for victory.

Yes Its true, George W. Bush needs to be impeached. But there is no need for all the signs all over SL. Puting signs all over SL is not going to help get him impeached at all. And as I recall the last President (Clinton) got impeached but he never left office so what good will it do? ;)

Have a good day.
Steve

Do we not understand what "impeached" means? It doesn't mean removed from office. It means accused of misdeeds and tried by the Congress. President Clinton was impeached, but the Congress failed to find him guilty. And, so, he wasn't removed from office. Bush won't be accused of anything while the Congress remains in Republican hands. Republicans value power over justice. They'll watch the country go to hell in a hand basket before they do anything to upset their hold on power.

Clinton was impeached (the only elected president to be impeached), by the House of representatives including many Democrats. The Senate didn't remove him from office, it takes a super majority (2/3rds), but then again no president has ever been removed.

I've been wondering if Lazarus himself actually understands what it means. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that he doesn't.

That's quite a bit different than saying "I invented the internet." I forget who made that one up...

I wonder how much Lazarus would charge to change the signs to pro George Bush signs?
