poll missing some options. aside from pie, i'm more concerned with how i get rid of my lindens than how i get them. and i think lack of stipends would push the value on them up. it'd help my income

If stipends go, there should be some other sweetener offered to premium account holders, such as a larger land allowance.

If you mean the 50 linden a week stipend for basic accounts, I would probably not notice it's absence.
Getting rid of the premium stipend would reduce my tendency to go premium. _____________________

if stipends are dropped how will Linden Lab reliably and sustainably scale the currency pool to stem rampant deflation _____________________

I think I would keep a premium account even if I got no Lindens as a stipend, because I see it as a way of paying for my enjoyment of the environment. I would just need to adjust my household budget for a virtual outfit allowance, or see if I can snag a job in SL just being sarcastic.

I dont know what wrong with People ..lol I am a So called Senoir person who has been here since 4/7/2004... and i have seen the major changes to the stipens and how lindens have restructures changes and there has been Quite a few and i can remeber the day when the basic account use to get 1500 a week but i never complained about when they changed this around ... It just all a part of life and a Real life economy .. i just wish i could have gotten here sooner so i could have paid for the life time account put missed it by a hair but never complained about that, ... We are all Equal here in this Sl thats inculding the prem. Accounts here .. if there is any thing to be said what about going by senoirity just like in a job ...
I have always been behind lindens and always will be ... no matter the changes .. it takes alot of dang work to do what they are doing .... But ifd a linden reads this .. lol What about the Senoir .. ppl *Smiles* ... Not the Premiu acount ppl HAVE YOU HUGGED YOUR LINDEN TODAY !!!... Zeph |

What will you do if stipends are eliminated? err...did I miss something? Where has it been stated (by a Linden, not a panicked resident) that this is even under consideration? If I missed it, please someone toss in a link here for reference. If it hasn't been stated, then why ask the question? |

I would do nothing because i still need the premium to hold my land, but what I would like to see is a compensation of more allowed holdings.

It's nothing but jealousy of those who were here before, and distrust of basic accounts. I can guarantee you this, please, write it down, if they manage to kill off basics, they'll go after lifetimers next... I mean, charter members don't pay monthly but get all that a premium gets and more, surely this is unfair... All they did was the "lazy, welfare-grabbing" technique of investing hundreds of dollars in an unknown startup, yet they get as much benefit as those who choose to invest in a winner and steal from newbs, So True i must agree with you on this .. i have been here this long with my basic account and when i wanted some thing i always put in the Rl monies to get what a iwanted .. lol linden can look that one up .. i just dont feel any one should be complaining ... is all about economy ... And as we all know money does make the world go around ... And i beleive when i first come to sl ... you were the first person i shopped from ...  |

We've a society to topple! edit: This poll is missing my own choice, thus I have not voted. I don't care one way or the other. I'll continue to do my thing, own my land, build my airship. I can see an issue when it comes to uploading, however. Also, I was under the impression that Lindex only trades in already existing L$ and does not create new money. So tell me, if stipend were removed, where does new money come from? This, coupled with my statement on upload fees... _____________________
