The OP's post was about someone calling her a name on another site - my reply highlighted the fact that she had also done this in the past on her own site.

Maybe you should take some reading COMPREHENSION classes. A THIEF is someone who takes something that does not belong to them without paying. If you hacked into a JEVN server and payed L$1 for an item that you do not own when it costs much more...you are a THIEF. That's not name calling. It's telling it like it is.

I read how you claimed that you were doing something good for the community or whatever by allegedly reporting the hack. Crapolla. Why didnt you hack into your own server? Are you a JEVN user? If not I'm sure you know where to find them. You obtained what you wanted to obtain by using a KNOWN hack. That is stealing.

Really? Do you have proof of this? If not you shouldn't make statements about others like that. Then again..how would you know what DMCA complinats were filed? Did she file them against you?

Hmm....here's my take on this..

About a million other SL forum sites are going to pop up...and if you spend every wakeing moment to check and see if your name is on them, my first piece of advice is to walk away..have a stiff drink, slap yourself on the face, and remember that your RL name..is not MadamG..and it's a name for an SL game....my RL name, *gasps*, is not Addison! (feels so much better about getting that off my chest.)

Now, about the slander...people take alot of things in this game with a grain of salt. They either will believe it, or choose not too. But as for threatining a law suit anytime someone enters your name on a website for a game..is just going a little bit over the line. That's like you standing next to an open window near my house with a tape recorder..waiting for me to one day say something about you.

It falls under a little thing called, Freedom of Speech and since they are the one's paying for the site, they can pretty much whatever they want with it. Sorry if this is harsh, but it's life...welcome to it.

These new forums are not a good thing in my opinion. They seem to be doing more harm than good. I just visited 2 others where the same thing seems to be happening to other people.

First off, I'm not a forum troll and have never been...but in fact had JUST joined the sl-forums earlier today so I felt like after reading a few posts on there I could honestly post in this forum..having posted on topics like this in the past.

She did not threaten law suit, but did threaten in general, and on several other SL sites, has brought up her "lawyer" and various other reason's for attacking people in RL for using her name to say negative things. If people take their buisness into RL then that is their choice, but the people that we are talking about on these sites are from the game Second Life...it's an mmorpg that MOST people use for fun..but do get hurt along the way if they are not careful. Have I stepped in before IN GAME to try and help a friend who had her name slandered..absolutely. But to go as far as saying that if ANY OUTSIDE website, not directly connected to Linden Labs and what-not, for her to say she'll contact the host, etc...you don't think that's taking it a BIT TO FAR?

Where has this person screamed lawsuit? It seems like you are making things up as you go along. Putting words into someone else'd mouth is not cool AND is trolling.

True, SL is a game. But just like when Linden Labs made it clear to us all that Copyright and Trademark issues are RL issues...such is slander and such. You cannot expect to remain anonymous for long if you are breaking real world laws. That includes you saying that madamg has threatened a lawsuit against someone when you still have yet to specify where she said it. I do not see it in this thread and have yet to see it in any other thread...and I read the forums quite a bit.
