The poll itself isn't. The part where he tipped to the cause of the poll biased the results. As for the item in question, apparently it doesn't work most of the time on deeded land. I'm not a land whiz, so I don't know the right terms for it. But there is a problem making it work by renters. coco

I didnt tell people to vote either way, I said I wanted to see if her arguement holds water. Now you are just looking to make excuses to distort the truth. A trick you learned up her butt no doubt. Jeska will no doubt remove this thread now. At least I got a good enough sample size in poll result number to answer my question.

It's very simple. You would have had better results if you had kept it more blind. And kindly stop insulting me, and being gross while doing so. Don't go on to suggest that Jeska will remove the thread because I pointed out where you introduced the bias. I wouldn't have pointed it out if you hadn't done it. As for getting a good enough sample size in poll result number to answer your question, you weren't really studying the issue at hand anyway - which is apparently whether or not the item works on deeded land. coco

I am confused. Granted, that doesn't take a lot.
Somebody, somewhere, who may or maynot remain nameless, is bitching about something that is....free?
Free...didn't cost them anything? Is this right?
Whatever happened to don't look a gift horse in the mouth?
It was FREE!!!!- if it works, great. If it doesn't work, oh well.
*just shakes head* Some people.

Why has this thread become drama central, if the question is does it work on deeded land then it works just as well, even the webguide words if you want that as well just follow the 3 basic instructions
1) Rez a prim to the size of your screen
2) drop the scripts and notecard inside it
3) deed it to group
and bingo a working tv and picture viewer, if you want the webguide follow the instructions on that rez another prim and drop the scripts in it and dont deed it to group.

Freeview works fine. It's just another smear campaign by a banned griever.

That's good to hear. I've had a fair share of people who wanted a hand in setting up FreeView with the WebGuide, and have only had one person claim that it doesn't work. The others were confused about how to set it up on group land. You can get a copy (for free, of course) here: http://www.SLBoutique.com/freeview/The WebGuide's bandwidth/hosting are lovingly donated to the community by SLBoutique. If anyone has ideas for new categories or anything, just lemmie know! We should probably get the Ed Wood Machinima entries up there, for one! Regards, -Flip

Isn't this person banned from the forums? I think it is totaly wrong you get around this by posting a link to thier comments. You have repeatedly proven all you are being is a way for her to channel her comments on to this message board. I think it should be a banable offense.

I love FreeView, works great for me.
It's just this individual's usual state to have to argue about something.
I ignored the post in quesiton.

You have repeatedly proven all you are being is a way for her to channel her comments on to this message board. I think it should be a banable offense. Excuse me, Beau! You are the one who brought up - and continues to bring up - this person! All I ever did was point out you were biasing your poll by doing so. Now I can't help it if you didn't take statistics in graduate school. And no, it's not a problem to put a link to someone's blog. Particularly considering that person is allowed to post in Classified and that includes in the part about Fan Sites, where the link to his blog already exists. Whether or not you personally like that! You are the one who dragged this whole thing into these forums, Beau. As far as those others on here defaming that individual (who is a friend of mine), where that individual can't respond, that is some of you people doing that, not me. "All I am being" and all have ever been is myself. You both can't face that fact and also wish you could prevent me from doing it here. coco P.S. Just caught this: "I think it should be a banable offense." You think I should be banned for posting that link? That is just astounding, Beau. You should be happy to have me in the game with you.

Good grief, I've just read that article and I can only say that it's the biggest load of pompous, jumped-up tripe I think I've ever had the misfortune to read. EDIT: And, oh, I've never said anything negative about the person who wrote it before, but gee-wizz that article is just something else entirely.

Well, its been resolved... the person in question was committing an operator error. The script works fine and always has, and this single person is the only one who ever had a problem with getting it configured. The person in question was clicking the remote control to try to get a menu to appear, when the llSetText above it clearly stated to click the FreeView screen, not a remote control, heh. Oh well, it only took 3 months for that to get figured out! Amazing that no one else ever reported a problem at all.
Regards,
-Flip

She has really gone off the deep end, more so than ever before. I have never seen someone so singularly obsessed with something in my life. It is a shame to see someone as selfless and talented as CrystalShard raked over the coals once again for absolutely no reason at all.

Cristiano I agree 100% and that was really the reason for this entire poll. Just to show that the whole issue was a personal attack on a person, not really a product.
