Question one, two and three, fine and dandy. Good responses really.
Why did you have to spoil it with that last paragraph though? You were so looking like a more reasonable person until you dropped that ball.

Btw, I wonder why you harp on the point that LL is a for-profit company?
I could say, why do you constantly use words like, I, the, and and. The reason I don't is because it would be taking their usage out of context. The point is, for-profit companies don't need fanboys. Do you know why? Because one of their, if not always their main objective is to make money for their owners and investors. They don't need Little Johnny Red Coat flying a flag and cheering them on.
For example, if TESCO's (or I guess Wallmart could be a good American comparison?) failed to deliver milk for a week: do you stand outside the store shouting, "Yeah but check out their prices on fresh veg"? No, you don't. People's irrational fascination with sycophantic butt-kissing of for-profit companies astounds me.

If I don't pay a cent for it, I can of course still report bugs and ask for problem solutions, but just spamming "I don't like it" doesn't help anyone.
This is really annoying, on many levels. Firstly, I don’t “spam”, secondly, spamming your disapproval of a companies actions when you don’t pay is about your only option, and the company’s only chance to learn. Because there are so many Little Johnny Red Coat’s in the world, genuine customers that roll over and empty their wallets while thanking them for it – some companies don’t always get a true picture if they just go with the paying customers view.
As is well known as a standard (but very rough estimate), it costs 10 times more to attract a paying customer than it does it to keep one. If people like me are saying, this is shockingly poor, I’m not even really happy when I get this for free let alone paying for it, that’s something a company should listen to.
So to cut any further explanation short as otherwise this will turn into an essay, you’re wrong! The forums are a great place for
everyone to express their feelings one way or another. You may not agree, and it seems as LL is (apparently) getting rid of the forums, they may not agree either. But with their current practices, that isn’t saying much. Don’t get me wrong, I like SL, or more importantly the people and places. I want to see LL succeed and to make this into a better platform for everyone, so I may enjoy and even pay perhaps in the future for a better product. If they can’t do that, I hope someone else will.
