Well, I think now that proTEC has something of an advantage over Sion. I started this thread not just because I wanted a shield for myself, but because I am working on a weapon and I noticed there was one shield it couldn't break (which I later discovered was proTEC, and I figured out how to beat that one too.)

The only real complaint I have about proTEC is that the inner/outer shields rez the instant you are going slow enough, so if you jump, they rez under you and you wind up standing in the air. I've almost got fragged while flying with them on as well because of them either rezzing too soon or not derezzing quick enough. I sent in a comment about that, maybe they'll do something about it. Other than that, I really like it. The interface is minimalistic and pleasant to look at, and it seems to work against physical bullets fairly well.

proTEC doesn't have auto revenge unless you buy another thing from them that integrates with it, but I'm already armed so it isn't an issue for me. Sion does have an auto revenge option.

Thats another reason why i stoped using them... And a reason why i dont use Physical Vehicles. ;p
I'm not a fan of the 31 prim limit for physical vehicles, but I'd rather make them physical just so they handle smoothly and cause less script load.

I mean, it defeats the whole purpose of having physics if you never use it.

1. People shoot people (who don't want to be shot. It's not a problem if they do)-->
2. These people wear shields -->
3. Shields also push innocent physical objects -->
4. people don't use physical objects.

We definitely can't prevent (1). The best solution would be for LL to implement an option that provides protection while making (2) unnecessary. At least, we might try to improve on (3).

True. I would like to use physics. Trying to get llSetPos to be exactly the same, is like trying to rebuild havok entirely. I managed to make a car that travels at ground level but good luck trying to drive it over a bridge...

My Non Physical Ball that i ride on now, doesnt do any pushing of any kind so its safe to use. Its almost 100% like flying and walking, except you cant fly foreward then fly backwords and expect your avatar to turn and face the 180 degree direction.
