My avatar is supposed to be male. Think cute indie-goth type boi, however. A lot of people think my avatar is female. Its kind of fun having obvious minors hitting on me and then saying, "BTW, I'm male. Are you gay?" Then ensuing freak out is always wonderful to observe!

This is probably SL urban legend, and I freely admit I didn't witness it happen. Apparently a couple were having hot sweaty monkey av sex, and just as the male partner approached climax, the female av said, "By the way, Jack, I'm a guy".

It must have been one of those Jerry Springer moments except there wouldn't be any stage security to separate the combatants :)

(Edit: "Jack" is a made-up name here, I am in no way incriminating any Jacks, Johns or JJs in the act of avie sex.)

Probably is a legend, but it wouldn't surprise me if otherwise... Of course, if Jack Linden would like to confirm or deny this rumour, I'm sure we'd all be happy to listen.

I use the female body shape, but I'm definitely supposed to be male, it's just the the male body shape is ugly and a pain to work with. =|

I've actually had to resort to similar for an alt I was working on. I started with the male av and tried to sand it down into something I found aesthetically pleasing and androgynous, but it resulted in some odd angles here and there in the face that no ammount of hammering on really could solve. Really, I don't think the male av mesh was at all made with what I had in mind.

I've just started toying with taking a female av and working backwards. Between that and some good skinning, I think I might actually be happy with it.

Actually, that's being done as a joke for some. Someone I knew was running around with his blingy hoochie alt trying to pick up guys and announce that to them mid-coitus. I rolled my eyes at first, but honestly... okay, that was pretty funny in retrospect.

I thought it was performance art on the subject of homophobia. Really, all he needed was a 10-second clip of the main riff of Boy George's cover of the Crying Game to play and it'd have been flawleess.
