BEWARE OF AN AVITAR BY THE NAME OF *edited*

I want to tell you all about an avitar by the name of *edited*. This avitar entered my residence in SL armed with a submachine gun. At the time, I was not logged in, but my girlfriend was. First he asked for money.....50 lindens to be exact. Asking for money with a gun is not really asking. When she refused and asked him to leave, he demanded that she give him 50 Lindens. She asked him to leave again and he went into some rant about nobody likes him and he's going to kill himself....etc. She sat down to prevent his weapon from doing any damage to her and armed herself with her watermelon gun...lol. When he gave her 5 seconds to give him money or he would shoot, she shot first. He had a very good shield and the watermelon gun had no effect.

I was watching the entire thing and told her to log out....so that I could log in and take care of the bad boy. When I got in game, he was still there. I promptly sat down and demanded that he leave while at the same time getting his profile info so that I could ban him. By the time I got him entered into the property ban list, he unloaded his entire weapon on me. Then the ban kicked in and he was banned.

I can't believe that someone would use SL to become a criminal....but I suspect that he either has criminal tendencies in RL or he is just a sad immature person. I wanted to warn you all of this person because he was quite impossible to reason with.

I'm glad you were able to ban him. Also, beware of the Firechicks who go around asking for "donations" for your protection. I've heard that they start some of the fires they claim to be protecting you from.

You should mind your own TOS.

I don't agree with the TOS in this instance. There are a lot of people that would be VERY offended by this behavior. And I think that a lot of people would be glad to know the name in case he shows up in their place. This person was not role-playing....normally BOTH people are aware of a role-play situation. He was very rude, malicious, and would not leave when asked. In other words.....he doesn't play well with others.

I know that I would like to know about RUDE avi's like this so that I could just put their names on my ban list before they show up. NOT EVERYONE in SL is here to play shoot'em up bang bang games. Some of us are here to do other more mellow things....like sex. LOLOL

Anyway....I've vented....now I'll go away.

I did ban him.....but he was able to get off about 40 rounds from his gun before he was ejected. I am assuming that is what you meant by eject him. Is there another way eject someone?

For everyone's information...I did submit an abuse report with the copy of the chat that took place, but I thought that some others might like to know if they ever see this guy around that he won't hesitate to maliciously shoot you....and he has a good shield.

Right click on them, choose more, then freeze. Alternatively you can click eject as well.

Actually they can't even beg unless they IM ya. When they're frozen, they're frozen.

Honestly..how come these people never visit me? I have alot of prim objects in mind to move into place around people for embarassing pictures while they are frozen, and they never get to be made

How do you eject someone or freeze them?

I had a couple of incidents immediately following an unfortunate disagreement with a neighbor -- two guys who walked into my shop making sexually offensive comments and being rude. I banned both of them, and muted them as well, but I want to know how to eject or freeze someone -- just in case I need to call a Linden in to deal with an idiot sometime.

When dealing with people like this.. USE them as your FREE entertainment. If they want to be ignorant like this.. then mess with them and laugh about it. There's no point in getting pissy over it.

OH NO.. they might shoot you with a game gun.. lol.. I can't count how many times I've been shot (mostly by my own son). They can't really hurt you, they can just be annoying.
