SLCC Media: Videos, Articles & More!

Thanks for the feedback, Emerie! As with any Convention, time is the most precious commodity around. Rooms were offered on Sunday for any resident who wanted to volunteer to host a panel - that is how they were put together. There were also after parties - there was a flyer for the Crow Bar put in every schwag bag (they were flourescent green) and another after party held by Alt-Zoom studios for the Machinima crowd. Did you not know about these? If so, I'm sorry! I tried to get the word out to as many people as possible.

That being said, we'll be sending out an email soon to registrants explaining how people can help out with next year. I look forward to seeing you there!

Can someone PLEASE surgically implant that camera into Stroker?
I can personally attest to him losing it at least 4 times over the weekend from airport to restaurants to meetings to planes...

There were white bags with the SLCC logo and the sponsor list that were available at the second table, which had a copy of the Metaverse Messenger inside and directions to the after parties. The first 150 paid registrants also received a free "WILL WORK FOR L$" long sleeved t-shirt, and many of the sponsors (and attendees!) were giving out buttons and stickers. Sorry you missed them!


Let's not open that can of worms quite yet. We've got a lot of stuff to figure out before we go anywhere near that question!

No worries, Flipper loses a Blackberry for every SLCC. It seems to have become a tradition.

OMG you guys looked like you were having a great time.....that is so awesome! What camaraderie and unity. I would soooooooo love to go next year. All that talent in one room!

Las Vegas is the best town for conventions, bar none. It's basically a giant playground for adults, and you don't even have to gamble or go to a ta-ta bar to have a hell of a good time.

It's a ~3.5 hour drive from Los Angeles, since they extended the 210. I don't know how long it takes to drive from SF. It's about 45 minutes by air from LA, probably not much more than an hour from SF.

Both sound good, but Chicago might be a great choice to allow our east coast contingent a fair chance at affording plane tickets! . Also the flight for Nick Rhodes (and any other cute Euro members) wouldnt be as long! heehee...I know Chicago! great town, people. We could even wear shorts this time.

Ty Emerie ^^ but the fact is if sl make is having is convention each year in a different place, it is a good way for us europeans to visit USA and met resident friends at the same time. For San Fran, I paid like 800 dollars for a non direct flight go/back ticket which was reasonable. I just took the budget hotel to make it globally fair as an expense. I heard also that if the resident number goes 'too' high, linden may organise regional convention... + may be once humm in 2012 ;P, when we will be worldwide, may be each year in one country... I'll turn into the french flip if it goes Paris, still I got to find my Jenifur
