For anyone wondering, the song that was playing during every break (I got asked this several thousand times) was:

STEREOLAB - Metronomic Underground

:) Thanks to Chippy Lu for indentifying it!

qDot Bunnyhug's presentation and demo of teledildonics in SL:

http://distro.nonpolynomial.com/movies/qdotslcc.avi

Highly hilarious - but be warned - it is NOT PG.

What she said. :)

Chad Statosky is working on the videos / audio this week (he's not even home yet though - give it a few days!). We'll get it up on the site ASAP.

Thanks!

Here's my contribution so far:

These are two informal video clips from Thursday night's rehearsal for live musicians for the concert the next day. It's the first time they've had a chance to play together to practice; and in the first video, it is the first time they've gotten a chance to learn Cylindrian's songs.

http://www.slmusic.org/video/slcc06-rehearsal01.wmv
http://www.slmusic.org/video/slcc06-rehearsal02.wmv

Each video is about 10MB in order to preserve quality, so please be patient for them to load.

qDot's presentation was hilarious! "If you have problems installing a printer driver, do you really want to be sticking your dick in your computer?"

He had about 50 one-liners in that speech. Well done, qDot. Don't think I'll be using the product, though, but good job all around.

Oh, and Uma/Ulrika, quit trolling.

Instead of using "wmv" for their extension they should have used "wtf".

hehehe, maybe I'll convert them, just for you, even though you didn't show (or did you... but incognito?!).

I'm really missing not just San Francisco, but "the whole gang" who attended. What a great crowd. Is anyone else dreading their day job right now too?

Regards,

-Flip

Just returned to work today and as you can see i'm here seeing what everyone else is doing. Can we all go back to SF for the weekend? We can just get one big room this time!

I have some videos I took at the convention, in QT MOV format.

Sorry they're so short, I could only do a minute or two at a time.

Outside the Crowbar:

That first speaker on Sat:

Some video I took of the music practice on Thurs:

I do have video of the Communities panel introductions on Saturday too, here (this one is larger, like 5-6 minutes):

haha, it was a hoot to go, for a midwest girl who is not a techie, just a simple fashion reporter for the Herald....

I enjoyed meeting the colorful people there, including Avery Webb, Hamlet and Walker, and hearing the speakers, especially Qdot and Stroker, f***ing hilarious!! It was my first time seeing Philip speak, and I did enjoy the history lesson.

ok, soes, now comes the suggestions...and the kudoes too. Plenty of refreshments and the space was great. The auditorium was comfortable. I have been to so many conferences in the past for my line of work, that I have to say I was a (little) disappointed at the limited topics discussed, and really hoped for more after hours parties or something....Friday and Sat night.
Sunday's lineup was sort of odd. Anyone have other thoughts on this? Oh, yeah...and if you guys need help next year...count me in!! :-)...I know how to throw a mean party!
