This was the same thinking (albeit not quite the same colorful language I would have chosen  ) which I had during the invested resident versus the casual tourist debacle. I felt it was the messenger rather than the message which was disliked as this attitude has been expressed without much argument. I am truly interested and curious about such desparate reactions engendered based on which individuals are targetted for attack. I am not specifically focusing on your individual response in these cases, LF, but rather the more general attitude towards others using SL in a manner different from ones own. How do we go about creating a more cohesive community amongst individuals representing various types of personal investestments and endeavors (creators, scripters, designers, land management, events & games,...) ? This "name the sl gods" attack just doesn't seem that different in nature than previous anti-commercial endeavors, anti-evil land baron, or anti-social player campaigns. All these factions have residents who have been here for months and have joined the community, and have contributed greatly to its forward momentum. *blink* Er, my quoted paragraph was intended as sarcasm. I see no need to give someone -- whose obvious intention is to relieve some of his adolescent hormonal tendencies with push guns and swear words -- the same amount of respect as, say, an established clothing designer or virtual architect, or even a well-regarded socialite (ie Torley). No, all this started because you felt the need to bring it here and publicize it. First you broke the rules in a privately owned sim by rezzing objects that were banned in the sim. Then you broke the rules of the community by coming here and issuing personal attacks. The only point proven so far is that you appear to thrive on breaking rules. Ah, the dying warcry of the wrong, "so much for free speech". Remember those two little documents you probably didn't bother to read when you signed up for SL but you agreed to them anyway? Those were the Terms of Service and the Community Standards. Both of them forbid personally attacking others inworld and on the forums, and you agreed to them. Unless you had done so, you would not be here right now. So, do you have limitations here? Yes, you absolutely do. You have exactly the limitations to which you agreed, no more, no less. IT is highly apparent that certain SL players deem themselves so far beyond the majority, that they have risen to the status of virtual gods. I'd just like to point out that in the evolution of human civilizations, appointing historic figures to a godhood is a common indicator of increasing moral and social sophistication. The next step is to pull them off their pedestals and stomp on their heads. So I'm not worried. GOD IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE UNDERDOG!
