If you're in California go to one of the check cashing places, they have a prepaid Visa card you can start using the same day. costs $10 and $5 to refil it, but you can use it right away and they send you one with your name on it in about a week. is how I pay for SL and WOW

For example, In the business I ran full time for 12 years before I started my graphics business (still in it in a limited capacity), as crazy as it sounds, it's actually a nightmare when people pay in cash. To the outsider, that seems a little hard to understand. Cash should be the easiest thing to take, right? WRONG. This is why I always pay the IRS with sacks of pennies _____________________

What difference does _that_ make? that Linden Labs doesn't accept money orders ( I have the money to pay the bill, just no means that LL has figured out how to accept). I run a business. I accept personal checks (2 weeks delay), money order, bank checks, western union, credit cards, until I wised up I accepted Paypal, and until we got a few fraudulent orders, COD as well. As a 1 man business, if I could accept alternate forms of payment, a "laboratory" should be able to figure this out. LL is an internet services company. SL runs on the internet. They accept credit/debit cards as a means of payment, and the monthly/qtrly fee can be auto-charged to your credit/debit card. If you don't want them to keep your card # in their database records for monthly billing, BUY AN ENTIRE YEAR UP FRONT, THEN TAKE THE CARD # OFF YOUR BILLING INFO UNTIL THE NEXT BILLING DATE COMES UP. I'm boggled by this "laboratorys" inability to do tasks that the guy at the 7-11 can do. I just doubt that collectively they could, in fact make a slurpee...[/unquote] I'm boggled by the singular lack of brains it takes to figure this out -- they bill over the internet because that's how their business is set up, and the service they provide is an internet "environment" -- the obvious assumption is that if you're capable of using SL, then you're capable of paying your bill over the internet (since that was how you had to set it up in the FIRST place). Merlyn, that was uncalled for, Mulch/Hooch, had his card lost in the mail by his bank, and LL didn't allow him the option of other means of payment, as had been detailed on another thread he provided a link to.
And Merlyn, this is over tier fees, not membership fees, and you pay tier fees monthly, no matter how long your membership is paid for. _____________________

Should note here, he did pay a year in advance for his premium membership which he explained in his previous post. LL still removed his account because his bank card expired and they effectively could not bill him for the tier on land he no longer owned nor was responsible for. (Yeah, still waiting for a response from [email=support@lindenlabs.com]support@lindenlabs.com[/email] about that whole issue. /me prays she doesn't have to talk to Lee and apologize for Hooch's behavior in forums). Actually I wonder if Mulch/Hooch has two brains as they are now two people, or if they share a brain, thus making them each have half a brain? A fourth of a brain?
