*evil* Mall Owner!??

Let me tell you how it all started.

I got invited one day by a custumer who wanted me to set up a shop in their new sim.
I went there to take a peek, It was very laggy but i i decided to give it a go.
After complaining to the mall owner that the sim was lagging, she told me to "Re-Install my windows" LOL i laughed..

Anywayz,

Im always busy in rl and in sl, i paid the RENTO and waited about 3 days to set up.
She kept IM me about "COME SET UP" she sent about 3 IMs calling me...

After 3 Ims i decided to go and get it over with, so i did it very quickly.
Days passed.

3 days ago she IM me saying "I need to buy this outfit, and its set for sale"
I told her i was busy and ill see if i can do it later.

She IM again on another day about the same things, i told her i was really busy and could ot go, and gave her a landmark to my other store where the outfit was for sale.

And today she IMs me again, after i was in stress in rl and in sl..

I dont feel i came with an attitude, after she IM me for 4 days about it. I knew it was not priced and i was really stressed out lol

After this I IM her group chat and said:

Some mall owner you are, Kicking renters because i refused to update an outfit. good luck with the mall

Anywayz people said i was a bad "Custumer service"

How can this be? Just because she buys from me dont mean i have to be harrassed and kicked from a place for not updating my vendor? What if i did not want to sell that outfit in that location?

I told her i was not feeling good and even offered to give the item for free.

Malls are a dime-a-dozen, she probably did you a favor since you never need to visit her lagtastic sim again.

I think in a way you both were in the wrong BUT she was worse.

You should have attented to her which you did by giveing her a landmark on teh second day. More of a matter of maybe the first day?

Mall Owner was much worse though. Almost seems as if she wanted your shop there so she didn't have to travel out of her mall?

All and all it's evil rating 1% you at best and 99% the mall owner.

I would feel a little brushed-off if I was told I couldn't buy someones stuff over and over.
And I also understand you couldn't deal with it and it was bad timing.
Its just one of those things I guess.
I wouldn't worry about it.

If you paid rent - ask for it the remainder to be refunded, and find another place to vend. Life is short - Second Life is even shorter. Get on with it.

I've rented stalls at places and had them sold out from underneath me (sometimes losing a couple of grand in paid up advance rent) lots of times, I just chalk it up to experience, and get on with my second life.... I keep it in mind if player X asks me in world if I've dealt with player Y before and relay the experience as objectively as I can.. but for the most part I just let it go and get on with things.

If I fretted over every person that did something I considered shady - I'd not get any sleep at night.

Lots of people do do it but they get edited in the end..

I personally don't see a problem with it, but its forum rules and was just letting you know..

But if I was a mod, the thread name would tell me to check it hehehe

This may be the victim of a bug that has been around since 1.1. Where you will have a box out for sale, but then suddenly one day it is just there. No way to buy it. All the sales aspects of it gone.

Is there a chance this was the case?

If so. I always welcome when customers tell me this. I hate the fact that items I have out for sale are suddenly one day made unable to buy due to bugs in the system. And so few customers take the time to tell me so. I often have to discover it myself by accident.

Just wondering if this could have been the case.

Must say I've had nothing but positive experiences with this sim. Sometimes the evil mall owner IM's me about a dead vendor & I head over in the next 10 minutes or so to fix it (usually kinda embarassed).
She buys all my clothes, wears them, refers people to my little shop there. It's in my best interest to appease, but then, my brand is still new & very hungry for business.

I guess I'm just curious what was so important that you couldn't take 1-2 minutes to fly to one of YOUR shop locations and make a very small request from a potential customer?

I know few people in SL who are so busy they can't fix a problem when one of their items can't be sold.

I think the real problem is here... why would she be ejected from her rental area group and agreement, simply because she did not help this lady... I agree it is bad customer service, and perhaps wubv should have taken the time to go help her, but this is no reason to break and kick her out of her rental agreement...

First of all, she IM me everyday to go there, she knows my other locations, and the first time i was busy in rl, and i was sick, i dont feel like going into her sim because it lags (took me 3 days to set up)

She is the mall owner, i pay her for the store. Just because one item was not market for sale in that location dont give her the rights to bother me and IM me everyday and kick me out later on.

As for custumer service.. I gave her the landmarks of other locations where she could purchase and i could have easily did an inventory purchase, but she insisted on me setting up that outfit in that particular location. As for her bringing people to my store, that is not my business, its her mall If she does that, bless her heart, but she just cant get mad at anyone for not putting the item of her choice.

what if i did not want to sell that particular item??

And before she kicked me out i told her i was not feeling very good and i would drop the item on her later on.


She did pay the rent back...

Hmm maybe she just wanted her mall all in "working order" but if thats the case she should have that stated in her rental agreement...
I guess its good she refunded your money, but I dont think you should have been kicked out to begin with... *shrugs*

First off I have been a customer, and I sent an im to you about an item I was trying to buy at that store. I got no reply. I tried for 2 weeks to buy the pink outfit but never did I get an answer. It appeared to me that you don't need customers. We are totally unimportant to you. I really felt unwanted as a customer. I sent other im's not for me but when other shoppers asked about same item. I told them I would request but not to expect I'd get a reply.

So for at least 2 weeks and not a lot of im's - probably 3 I was patient waiting to purchase that item. I really liked it and wanted to wear it. But you didn't care to respond to my im or fix it.

However I was taught that customer service is first and formost. And I feel the mall owner was putting the thoughts and feelings of the customers first.

I may be thought to be one sided in this answer, as I am her daughter in game. But I assure you my feelings are as a shopper.

for what its worth, this is my opinion

well, I don't know any of you , but I felt the need to speak up also.

I once IMd a designer to tell her that her vendy wasn't working. She dropped everything, rushed to the store to fix it, and gave me the outfit plus a new design for free, all the time thanking me for pointing out to her the problem. I have continued to buy from her, very very often.

Another instance: I bought an outfit on SLBoutique, and when I opened the box the wrong outfit was inside. So I bought another of the same item from SLBoutique, got same thing. I IM'd the designer and she was also very grateful that I let her know and she took back one of the outfits, paid me back the extra cost, and gave me the item I originally wanted for free. And, she continues to be my favorite designer and has become a very good friend.

Not saying you should provide free clothing for everyone who points out a problem with your sale device, but being gracious enough to say thank you and take care of the problem goes a long way to KEEPING happy customers who will recommend your clothing everywhere they go.

Sorry, know you were sick and all, but if that's the case maybe stay offline so nobody bugs you?
