Massive Lag

Anyone getting abnormal amounts of lag? I sure am. its the worst I ever saw.

It took a good five minutes for the textures on my attachments to load, but other than that, everything seems to be working fine, and my framerates are okay, for the mostpart..

Anyone else get a huge drop in framerates when holding alt with the edit tools up? I go from 20 fps to... 3. Must take alot of processing to put a red overlay these five prims... I tell ya.

I'm getting great performance, actually, just tested it with Belaya. We're both rocking.

Are you sure its the worst you've EVER seen? Worse than these times?

Maybe they should take down the preview grid, that'd fix it!

I blame the furries. It's a scientifically proven fact that furries cause lag... almost as much lag in fact, as goreans, though obviously nowhere near as much as vampires...

22 fps (client side) in Terminus, but there's nothing there but some bugs, fish and a bird or two. And a handful of Plobs.

haha...be happy you can get in. I keep getting a weird install error. Any suggestions?

Furthermore, I'd like to also share another choice bit of work that I feel is most relevent:

The Aardvark is only vaguely pig-like; the body is stout with an arched back; the limbs are of moderate length. There is always lag after updates. Most of us know this because its pretty much a given and far from unusual.

I wasn't attempting to be mean. It is just like a broken record, however. Every launch, another round of "Magnum's Latest Complaints" comes around.

If you're continually having lag problems, maybe its time to take a look at your own machine, your own operating system, and what's installed on it that's causing you to experience problems the vast majority of SL is not. Chances are its something on your end. This complaining has been going on ever since 1.4 while the vast majority of people have noticed FPS increases.

When was the last time your reformatted your hard drive and did a totally clean install of Windows XP SP2?

You know, I probably should not had posted this here about the lag and maybe in a few days it will vanish. But others should not had made fun of my report as well. People tell me that the reason they do not post anywhere in these forums is because of what happens to me in the forums. I tell them its only happening to me and they say, "yeal, right" and still refuse to post.

This was just a simple report that I was getting lag. Not a license for people to make fun of me. It is also not an attack on Linden Labs.
