Aside from 'new system' lag I get with -every- update, I'm running smooth. Mind you I have flexiprims off..I wan't bug fixes not shinies. Hardware lighting let me put out my new ceiling fan though.

Seems to be worst for me. Really when I am outdoors.
I have:
ATI 9600XT 256MBs RAM
1GB or DDRAM
P4 2.5
120GB HD

When I am around waterhead and other outdoor areas, I get like 8 -12 FPS....??? What are good graphic settings?
Im running in 1024x768 full screen mod.

Performance does seem better for me too.
Only thing is a lot of textures flash for me now. Not sure why that is.

On Intel iMac my framerates have doubled both in my home sim and at Live Music events.

I have also noticed that the lag/skipping present in the music player in previous mac clients seems to be fixed. Great job Lindens!

Have you updated your video card drivers? Generally, the first thing to do is make sure that you have the latest drivers (especially so with all the recent graphical changes in the engine), THEN worry about graphical glitches.

I didn't really notice much of a difference except for the usual lag and getting caught back up after an update. I noticed more lag in areas I didn't really have any in before but I will wait and see. It's always a bit wonky after an update. Plus I noticed there were alot more people on than normal so the strain was more. I was one of the worried ones because my pc is about 6 years old and has an old ATI card. I tried the new lighting and was pretty pleased as I had never turned on local light before because I didn't think my pc could handle it. When I was walking in some areas it was a bit choppy, hopefully that will not be permanent and is just an effect of everything getting caught back up. Overall it's so far so good for after an update.

For some reason, I'm getting an average of about 1-2% packetloss with the new patch. Also, things rez a *lot* slower. Anyone else experiencing this?

I think my lagg is about the same. I was impressed with how crisp and clear the environment looks -

I turned shiny back on and bump map / cloth.

I do not know what it all changed back to default for me so I am still trying things.

I did notice though for me very sad to say it seems fine details are gone. I make some complex necklaces and it seems to me just looking at them from a normal distance they do not seem to view in the same detail.

For instance - I am standing - I can see a clump of grass - the leaves are crisp and clear - I pan to my necklace and the amethyst now looks like it is just a purple oval not the facets I know it had.

Another interesting thing I observed is as I was editing the object description of one of my vending machines - The Vendo disappeared.
I had not inadvertently ‘taken’ it as I could still see the hover text over it. It was not too far away from me that it was being culled out. It was exactly perpendicular to one below it which I could still see. I had to turn on the scripted object beacons in order to find it again. I did manage to click it again and get it to reappear. It had not turned transparent, it had become invisible. Very odd. I bug reported it.
As a merchant I really do not want my vending machines to vanish as people are trying to buy from them.

I changed comp at same time as the upgrade - and yes its faster but its probably the comp.. sorry... Crisper pics..

I also have tryed windows XP - and that give me a some darker pic.. and more details. ??? I am not sure but the feeling are diff.. on the other hand the style of the Windows design make me.. (censur)..

/Tina now out downtown and paint it EXAKT red.. blue yellow and lilac.. as a start

the problem seems to be with the 10.3.9 versions of mac osx, I get that "wont work" message on my 10.3.9 business puter. At home I'm running the latest Tiger osx and SL seems to be working just fine. (Knock on wood)

Freezing and crashing on log in

Has anyone had trouble logging in since udate?..when I log in, I freeze and crash, says Second Life not responding. This happens like 5-7 times ina row,,then I can get in for a bit.and it does it again.

Any suggestions of help would be appreciated..

i cant hear my music in here any more i go to shops an cant an events none ive re downloaded i can hear water running an typeing an walking ive gone from one sim to a nother to hear nothing i can see videos i asked live help an they said no music i said no an they never finshed answering me if some can tell me how an whats going please help me this is frist time ive ever posted
