If that's the best you can say about your event then don't expect to see it on the homepage.
Cheers, Lawrence ummm, huh?

From: Sierra Divine ummm, huh? Exactly my thoughts... I'm not really sure why someone would list an event with a bunch of random characters as the description. Cheers, Lawrence

From: Lawrence Linden Hmm, odd, I'll ask Benny to double check the date display tomorrow. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
Cheers, Lawrence Lawrence, could that at all be related to the weird times it shows for post timestamps on the forum, too? Usually seems to be almost 12 hours off.

If you see incorrect timestamps on the forums, make sure you have edited your time zone settings in the User CP (up at the top then click edit options)

It seems to be a point of confusion that's come up more than a few times in my eyes now. Altho, it'd help to have the suffix "SLT" too.

From: ReallyRick Metropolitan Just ran into Lawrence Linden in the WA (before it crashed again) and he said the following: Me: Is the World Population and such coming back? HIM: Yes HIM: and I'm gonna fix the damn in-world transactions counter. it uses the previous day's transactions to estimate the rate it should count up. ME: Why did it only show events for 5pm SLT? HIM: not sure about the events... we are filtering out the "garbage" events with bogus descriptions BTW, sorry about my grumpy attitude, was very frustrated at the time about the WA going down repeatedly. I do like the transactions counter... just wish it were more accurate instead of "simulated". Cheers, Lawrence

Cheers, Lawrence It must suck not being able to converse normally and having to think before every word you utter for fear of someone posting the chat log verbatim. They probably should come up with a rule about posting chat logs. No one wants to be "on" all the time.

Altho, it'd help to have the suffix "SLT" too. The default time zone is in fact PST/SLT - but you can change this in your User CP to allow for flexibility

I've had two computers sitting right next to each other, same system date and time, same time zone setting in the forums on each, same DST preference, everything I can think of that might make a difference just the same on both machines. Make a post on one machine and the post date shown on one machine is an hour difference from that shown on the other.

Coolness! The new map is a really cool feature! I would love to have an auto generated marker , kinda like an overlay or another layer that is autogenerated by my logon to show my home location setpoint so I wouldn't have to rely on my horrible map reading skills to see what my home location looks like on this map Mainly since the landscape of SL can change in a flash. I could always stop and ask for directions, but hey, I am a guy and I never stop to ask for directions... Wouldn't be too manly

Since he was in the WA and asked everyone what we thought of the new map I was just putting down what he said here. People had commented on if the World Population was coming and and well as how the transaction counter worked. I thought Lawrence's words were newsworthy so that is why I paraphrased what he said.
