Kudos, partly ... but with a qualification: this is why the blogs aren't enough

I would normally say, "I wish", but...

<looks at the pyres being setup for LL>

<grins nervously>

Nope. Not today I don't. They are on their OWN. I may preach moderation, but only so far as I don't become another shrimp on the barby...

Just try not to hang too many of them, 'kay?

Oh, I don't just mean LL; I mean any MMO forum. I've seen the sycophants pop up before -- they appear everywhere an MMO sets up a forum. And it does kind of make you almost wonder ...

Don't get me wrong, either: I don't want to hang LL. I like SL, and I want to stay, or else I would simply leave. What I want LL to do is get it together and start dealing seriously and appropriately with customer service issues. Hell, I'd help them do it, if they cared to hire me. I could use the money. :p

It would definitely have to start with a change in the way they approach work, however. Good customer service means sometimes having to do work you don't like, and having to do it right now, even if you really don't want to.

I've got a feeling when Philip - or other higher-ups - say they think something really should be done, then various people suddenly decide they would just love to work on it.

True.

Not to mention they seem to like to delete comments they dislike from the blogs out of hand, which is another major concern I have.

You and me both sister. When I saw "Comments off" yesterday after the post I was at once totally, utterly shocked and not surprised in the least, simultaneously.

You know, that's a perfect description of the way I've felt about a lot of things LL has done lately.
