Can I play Lucky? I've been practicing:
Given the existence as uttered forth in the public works of Puncher and Wattmann of a personal God quaquaquaqua with white beard quaquaquaqua outside time without extension who from the heights of divine apathia divine athambia divine aphasia loves us dearly with some exceptions for reasons unknown but time will tell and suffers like the divine Miranda with those who for reasons unknown but time will tell are plunged in torment plunged in fire whose fire flames if...
I bet I can have it memorized in time for the permissions system overhaul!

And a shudder passes down my spine as I realise that sounds an awful lot like Torley..

Gads! Could I inadvertantly uncovered the Linden Lab master plan?

Really, I hope the whole HTML on a prim project is starting with displaying text on a prim as the basic problem. I admit I haven't kept tabs on things but I recall some idea of rasterising webpages for HTML on a prim display. That would be a step backwards, in my view. Needless to say, just being able to embed text on a prim efficiently opens up all sorts of data-handling possibilities to SL, which has so far been a primarily audio-visual environment.

Hope springs eternal.

Yeah no kidding. The world needs a proper text engine, and has needed one, since 1.0. We need something other than kludgy notecards and even kludgier llSetText.

I find it pretty weird how I can dish out insults and they're usually perceived as compliments. Same goes for all my harsh criticism--it gets forgotten easily. Ah, well, such is my lot in life--and Second Life. :)

Dinner or no dinner...

Just a gentle reminder that curiosity about future SL features are wonderful. However, inflammatory comments directed at anyone, Resident or Linden, are not allowed, as per the forum Guidelines:
Flaming, Spamming, Trolling – Flaming (posting a message that is intended to incite anger or directly attack a person or persons), Spamming (multiple posts of the same topic or discussion), and Trolling (a post with an intentionally contrary opinion written with the intent of inciting or getting argumentative opinions) are strongly discouraged. If you think your post might be over-reactive, or that it might fall into one of these definitions, please reconsider posting.

It's not at all weird. Lindens don't have to worry about being suspended or banned. We, on the other hand, have to worry about having our access to the world being suspended or cancelled based on something we flippantly rattled off in a forum post. Of course we humour you and pretend that your insults and harsh criticisms are all in good fun.

What else are we gonna do?

You talkin' ta me Suez? Cause I'll and just what now awhaw weeeeell

Perhaps I should insult you so that you can laugh it off in the spirit of jocularity implied by um what well the fact that I'm green or something cute like that.

What was this thread about anyway? Oh yeah, look here for something relevant to get us back on topic.
