Should LL stop making offers of parrot kisses it won't deliver?

I object to the treatment I am receiving from the Orientation Island parrot. From: someone Chat Parrot: Just say 'please give me a kiss'. You: please give me a kiss Chat Parrot whispers: Sorry, one kiss per human. From: someone Chat Parrot whispers: Hello, SuezanneC Baskerville. Chat Parrot: I mostly repeat everything you say. Chat Parrot: But if you ask nicely, I'll give you a kiss. Chat Parrot: Just say 'please give me a kiss'. You: please give me a kiss Chat Parrot whispers: Leave me now, I must sleep Is this sort of fickle treatment really how we want to greet new customers? It could break their tender n00b hearts. This parrot has to go. Now. This is real important. We need a furor about this now. Please get upset. Who wants to kiss a nasty ole parrot anyway, their beaks would be like plastic and their tongues are gray or black or something. Yuch.

When I was a kid, we had an african grey parrot.
We would sometimes share kisses while watching the television. She was very affectionate.

From: B.S. You enjoy kissing parrots? From: Sue B Who wants to kiss a nasty ole parrot anyway, their beaks would be like plastic and their tongues are gray or black or something. Yuch. Perhaps this is a gentle way of introducing some alleged aspects of the furry culture to n00bs. I mean potential customers. Did you get upset? Please say yes, the thought of people going about their business calmly enjoying themselves is giving me the shivers.

Fried Parrots
Ingredients:
Enough parrots to serve four. 1 cup flour salt and pepper to taste pinch of nutmeg pinch of rubbed sage or crumbled dried thyme 1 cup milk beaten with one egg yolk
Carefully remove the little heartbreakers' feathers, and cut into serving sized pieces.
Dip parrot pieces in the milk then dredge in the seasoned flour.
Fry in enough oil to mostly cover (I prefer olive oil), turning the parrot chunks as each side browns.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve with copious amounts of mashed potatoes and traditional gravy made with milk instead of water.
Gloat.

Careful Suzanne-people will want you banned for this thread that promotes bestiality. They will want to put your name on a list with those who wave there arms, those who participate in age play, and those who beleive in the FIC.

In all seriousness, I didn't get the parrot to work when I came through orientation and I actually did feel a sense of loss about it.

I treat your association of my name with the secret cabal known as the FIC with great seriousness. Look closely at the picture below. Does that look like a FIC Face to you?

There should be a parrot in your inventory, I believe. The creation of long pointy needles is done in the twinkling of an eye. Do try to avoid getting the needles in your twinkling eyes, of course. Then do voodoo to the bird who hurt you. . Revenge is best served cold. Fried parrots, however, should be warmed in the microwave on high for 2-4 minutes after refrigeration. If you can't find the parrot in your inventory, just ask a Liaison; most of them are glad to flip a resident the bird.

Hmmm, never met that parrot. Still, I think it took me all of, um, 3 minutes to leave that island - and another 5 to flee the welcome area... Which made for an interesting 'sink or swim' intro to SL. Still, the parrot might have been fun - another chance missed!
