OK, guys, I don't know why this is, but all nights are now bad nights. Last night I was posing for someone's picture, but it took like ten minutes for the textures of my clothes to show up, and that involved my going into appearance and his logging off to make it finally work.

Rosieri and other sims are bouncing around at all levels of the sim fps.

Strange other things happen constantly, not being able to terraform land without freezing and all kinds of stuff.

What is going on? Will it ever be fixed? I haven't tried during the day lately, but this will happen whether it is 9 at night or 2 am, doesn't matter.

Same questions I have. I haven't had a "fun" night in SL for months. There's a club in my sim, and if they have at least 10 people show up for a party (which seems to be every night -- jeez, people, do you have real lives), then the tim dialation in my sim goes down to 0.10 and I can't even rez stuff.

I had the same texture loading experience last night, too. I eventually gave up and logged out.

What is with the texture loading problem, already? :(

It's been better for me today, though, but past week has been hell just getting my own clothing to rez, forget everything else.

Don't even talk to me about sim border crossing.

I hope things improve before we loose too many new residents...

Yes...this is getting out of hand. I tried to build something on a *large* plot of land that I own and had to give up because textures were not loading, slow rezz times, etc.

In an effort to improve things just a bit, I removed my prim hair, shoes, and flight booster. That helped a bit since I was able to at least walk around but it was still very slow.

Working on the build on my island much better, of course, but not as good as it was a couple of months ago.

Teleporting away and back seems to help textures load faster. Logging out and back in corrects a lot of problems too. This, of course, is a pain.

Since I am doing a fair bit of scripting and PhotoShop work these days, I work online only when necessary these days - keeps me productive and less frustrated.

These problems are wide spread and, as they have stated on their blog, LL is doing a fair bit of work behind the scenes to improve the situation. I just hope that things improve before we loose too many new residents as a result of all of this.

Slow day? :D Coco's always been upfront about her alts; recently even indicating which one she commonly uses for building. Maybe that was prior to your join date and you missed it. PM me for the name if you're in need of busy work. Be sure to report back with your findings! :p

I've noticed they're not recording correctly, you can't rely on that at the moment.

I've said "good night" to people and watched them log out and looked at them in the group member listing five minutes later which showed they haven't been online in 3 days.

I believe this is part of the "presence" issue that shut SL down a week or so ago. If it is than its just another example of half fixes to string us along forever.

Yeah, I am tired of the slow rezzing everytime I log in. Those grey squares are becoming real pains.

Yesterday, it was a good thing I was building along with doing my house work, because it took forever for one of my objects to decide that it liked the position I had put it in and stopped jumping around. Forget the Linden Sandboxes, they are Lag City on a down server night. I couldn't move, couldn't rezz objects, anything.

Working in scripts is insane. Letters show up when you are on the next line. Extreamly annoying. Wonder if this game will ever improve it's performance. The pattern doesn't look good. Everyone seems content with this shite and soon we wont have an avenue to voice these concerns anyway.

Had to cancel my weekly races last sunday due to outside things causing time dilation. The two sims we have with tracks, both near empty, were unuseable. Please tell me performance is on someone's agenda.

(i'm trying to be nice. My other passions include guitars and motorcycles. I've never felt the need to email Gibson or Honda about their stuff not working. What i mean to say is, give a dog a bone here. I really don't want to feel frustrated at the messed up potential here. Stop slowing the game down every update. It's allready BELOW acceptable. Thanks.)

*waves* Hi Les!

Someone asked in another thread how many people would really benefit from the Havoc upgrade anyway, heh. I thought of you since you've made most of the fun stuff I have in SL. Remember when I first made the boardwalk/skate park to be all ready to have races with the bumper boats you made for me? And the bike races which never happened since the 1.7 upgrade made moving, much less cycling, difficult for me? Sigh. I guess SL works okay for the strictly social crowd; but I miss the possibilities and the potential of what we used to think was around the corner.

I've seen people log off and the indicator rebounds like they are back on, but they aren't on at all.

What are you talking about? I am not sure what I'm signed up here on, but I am both Cocoanut Koala and Cocoanut Cookie. And I'm not mistaken about the nights, because it was definitely last night that he took my picture.

Well that's good to know. It occured to me that maybe part of getting rid of the forums is they may be in something of a panic about how the grid is acting. You gotta admit that how the grid is acting is more important than the forums (well at least I think so), cause I worry about new players, too.

Who the hell are you and what is your problem? And no, whoever you are thinking of with those letters isn't me.

My alts are:

Cocoanut Koala
Cocoanut Cookie
Strawbearry Shortbread

(And thank you, Margaret!)

P.S. Shoot, I couldn't even figure out what he was getting at. Took Lucifer to lay it out for me.

The one good thing about it is it makes me not feel guilty for not building and horsing around instead! I have had those crashes when trying to build, too.
