Adoption and Prim Babies?

I've only been in-world two days and since I cannot log on from work I decided to browse the message board.

I have come across alot of thread that mention adoption and buying prim babies? WHat exactly is all that about? Can someone point me in the right direction or a FAQ that can help me? Thank You.

what do prim babies do? are they interactive or animated? are they only infants or can you get toddler sized?

LOL Someone needs to sticky one of these prim baby topics. I meen if people are being ripped off, we need a warning somewhere.

Please can someone help me with some useful info other than Edward Mathys? Please don't post things that are not tied to the subject.

Inside SL, there is no built in way to have children, so there are 2 things that people wanting children inside SL normally do.

One is to buy a prim baby, which is usually scripted to cry etc, people have bussinesses making and selling them. As for what each bussiness offers, you'd have to ask them individually.

The other option is to hire/ask another avatar to be a child, avatars can only go so small, so you can't really get baby avatars.

Edward pretty much summed it up Ambrosia. Prim babies are little baby models created with prim. Some of them contain animations for mommies and daddies. And some sellers offer a complete pregnancy service. I suggest you just search for "babies" when you are in world and go see what is being offered.

This is an outrage.

For baby Avs, I guess the Tinys with the right prim attachements could work.

nope. ever since tinies have come out there have been lil babies to. so go for adoption it can be a lot of fun to roleplay a family, I myself, am about 3' 11" tall, 8 years old, in avatar

Prim babies are delivered by Drunken Prim Storks that self replicate! That might explain why i was given a baby elephant.

Actually alot of info here is wrong, As far as avatar sizes go there are baby sized avatars that can be purchased, they are prim avatars and use tricks to make you baby size when it is worn. There are also a few locations that sell attachments that make you pregnant, and yes there are doctor visits and a birth stage where you do actually give birth to a prim baby in the hospital. Do a search for adoption you will find at least 2 locations that offer the baby service, one that I know of will even custom build the baby to your spec. I think it is the natural family practice or something named like that. If you need help finding the location contact me in world and I will send you a landmark.

After avatar impregnation by a delightful, facehugging creature (we're calling it "the stork", the prim baby gestates inside the av's chest, eventually bursting through the rib cage at an opportune moment, guaranteeing an emotional and fulfilling experience to all gathered to watch the joyous event. Almost immediately, our prim baby begins scampering about on its nearly vestigial arms and legs. You'll coo in delight as its elongated, eyeless head glistens with post gestational fluid. Before you pass out and are rushed to the emergency ward you may notice that your little babydoll has two mouths: an outer mouth and a slashing, extensible inner mouth (WARNING:do not attempt to nurse baby). Do all prim births result in multiple births? It seem everyone i've met that either "had" prim babies or are "exspecting" have led or are leading to multiple births.

I just spent about an hour cleaning spaghetti-os off a white wall, maybe prim babies are the way to go, the hedonisticly evil factor is a bit lower.

Don't be so quick. Perhaps you're just not looking deeply enough.
