If someone makes a 100% effective shield, would it be an exploit?

From: Kerian Bunin I think I know how Eata is thinking of making the perfect shield (wild guess as if its what im thinking, ive been playing with doing it the same way). And yes it would fully prevent you from dieing in a combat sim. I would think that this would be fully acceptable. however, lindenlab could patch the way you could do this down the road. kerian how big is your pr0n?

From: Eata Kitty I do somewhat agree with Eggy, there seems to be a problem with the whole weapons/shielding industry in that people are obsessed with gimmicks above everything else. Then again that's true for a lot of other products in SL...
IMO it's just like AntiVirus Company vs Visus Maker. Each one tries to build a better one and gets conquired by the other. The only ways to deal with it is to either buy the best protection or just let the viruses kill your computer.

I remember one time a virus writer hardcoded his resume and contact info into his virus. Within a week the AV companies started calling him for interviews wich gives a whole new meaning to target advertising.

I remember the first shield I made. It was a 30m square non-physical cube with a follow me script. The center cube was missing and that is where I was. It didn't stop someone with a push gun from shooting me Nor did it stop someone from using a walking cube from walking threw it. A "haha I'm not even in the sim" system is probably the only way to be truly safe.
