1. Enjoy yourself without ruining someone else's enjoyment.
2. Be honest, and you won't have to try and remember what you lied about, or fret about being caught out as a liar.
3. Don't do unto others as you would have others do unto you.. you may not have the same tastes.
4. Realize that all of your assumptions are probably wrong.
5. Embrace diversity. There are very few other places or times in your life when you'll have the experiences of a much older person, a much younger person, a Furry, a Gorean, a gender-bender, a sci-fi geek, a prom-queen and a rocket surgeon all in the same place, and possibly in the same person. Soak it up.
