Wouldnt it be funny if one day we're on version 1.999 and the next morning you login to download 2.0? There was no preview grid for it SUPRISE!!! You log in and everything looks superior to the graphics in TES Oblivion? XD With movable figners/toes, finger/toe attachments (newest poser models), The ability to Burn prims, and a perfected latest version of havok!


Ooooo! My pants would be all sticky from the excitement!!! :D

But then we'd have a huge chunk of the population crying "My 6 yr old Dell with Onboard Graphics wont run SL!!" :p

Well, they were forced to use 1.10.0.x you see.

You may or may not remember, but Micro$oft and Amazon.com have patent applications out on the numbers 2-9. They were not able to get 1 and 0 since they are considered binary digits and are covered under the Public Domain.

So by going to version 1.10.0.x they are only using binary numbers and avoid having the pay a royalty fee to the M$/Amazon.com alliance.

For refference, here are the next few version numbers:
