It was probably a mistake and they got the name wrong or something. Clearly there is nothing in your profile to warrant any complaints.

Well if that's the case then they are way too late to say a dam thing about it, look at Yiffy's join date. They allowed the name this long.

Besides, it shouldn't matter. If I wanted to name myself "Makeswoopie Dion" thats my business and wouldn't be any different. Neither one is a swear word.

Seriously, if it was just because of your name then the person that filed that AR needs to get a life. Might be intersting to IM all the other Yiffys and see if they got one too.

It isnt my name ive had thsi account for 2 years and talked to tons of lindens.

I might just do that. I will IM as many Yiffy's as i can get a reply from. How many are there? like 8 i think? Also some variations of the word like Yiffie and Yiff. So i don't see how my one little account should be targeted like this.

I emailed support and abuse_logger whatever.. also posted a duplicate of this topic in the answers forum. Hope to get a reply soon. I can't figure out what to change about it untill a linden answers.

If the problem is because of my FAQ tab i'm afraid they might aswel go ahead and ban me. I'm not changing that. I need to warn people what i accept in IM's so they dont end up making a fool of themselves. Believe me i would much prefer to know what will happen to me if i map-tp to someone so i know not to do it.

I doubt it's the name - I'm sure other people have posted about having names rejected, and the report referred specifically to the name rather than the profile.

Perhaps your name sounds too much like what Lindens cry out when in the throes of orgasmic bliss?

It really would help if LL was specific when the TOS is violated.

I don't see anything wrong with your FAQ's, although they do come across as a little unfriendly. Plenty of people with human av's put notes in their profile to the effect of "I don't cyber so don't try".

It sounds to me like your being griefed through official channels. It's as if LL is taking a "guilty until proven innocent" approcah to TOS violation enforcement because there's not enough time/resources to fully investigate every claim.

Linden Labs' official stance is that they strongly encourage self-governence - yet they have this mostly broken AR system that can permanently mark you. AR's never expire. It's not like a traffic ticket. Fortunately, nobody can see them but the Lindens, but they'll stop you from doing things like becoming a Live Helper or teach LL sanctioned classes.

I didn't really have any future plans to do those sort of things anyway. :/ Ifi had, i could probably use a alt for it hehe. Possibly someone ARed me out of spite for being a security officer who probably got their other account banned or something. Well i've never seen any results from a AR i've filed in the past, yet i see one against me... It shows what kind of people we got reading the things...

That sucks. You know, I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, but my first thought really was that someone was abusing the system to grief Yiffy. I hope that isn't as easy as it sounds.

What I find ironic is when we contact LL about something they want everything detailed so they can fix the issue. Nothing wrong with that but when someone gets a warning for disciplinary action it is about as vague as saying "someone was offended by your profile on July 16". How about telling us what exactly is offensive?
Yiffy, there is an email to send to the abuse manager. Make yourself a post on your blog if you have one about this and then just simply send an email with the link and say refer to your blog. See how they like chasing down info in a blog.

You know following an AR report is so Kafka, I wouldn't even bother.

Who knows, they might have outsourced AR system or .. priest-kings forbid... hired interns!

Yea it is kinda funny in a sad way. abuse_manager probably won't answer the email. You know that Servey they usually send out after they deal with a situation? I got one a hour ago. I clicked all the negative check boxes on it. If they care enough to read that anyway.

I read your profile and I didn't see anything bad. The only thing that could even be considered even slightly non-pg is when you said "if you are a bird, reptle...I wont yiff you."

I agree though, especially in a case like this they should tell you what the inappropriate material is so you can remove it and not get AR'd again. Good luck with that e-mail, I hope you get some answers. Let us know if you do. I'm curious.
