Was it Quicktime or in a windows format? Maybe some quality got lost in the translation?

REALLY impressed...

You know, I just went back and re-viewed those movies, and I'm rather impressed by the fine work in most of them.

I only had one question (and not begrudging Javier at all.. because his video rocks)... but of all of them, why is Javier's the only one that is crystal sharp? The others are all pixelated. I know that Total's is not pixelated in the orginal version available on his website and I would doubt that Elle's was either (and a fun video that is Elle).

So where did all the pixelation come from?

There's a reason why mine in particular might be: When I exported the file that I sent to LL, I didn't know how to compress it very well, and the result was a huge file of mecium quality that Eric had to recompress in order to get it playable. (After that, I learned how to do it right, and I posted a better encoded version to my own website).

The other thing I noticed that I keep meaning to bring up with the Lindens but havent is the fact that the movies aren't being displayed at the correct aspect ratio. They're being shown on 20x10 screens, where the correct size would generaly be some multiple of 8x6 (a la an 800x600 computer screen and most standard computer display resolutions).

Javier, I've seen by someone pointing me to his website, has done machinima movies before, unlike everyone except Total, to my knowledge, so I'd immagine he knows how to get the best looking files.
