We could have configurable spaces, moveable areas of land. Contiguity by choice.

Or we could put up a Bush sign and scare everybody away. We'd surely get peace and quiet then. Bush signs are now the SL residents equivalent to the crucifix.
"GET BACK YOU SCENERY CORRUPTING VAMPIRE!!!"
*pulls out Bush sign *
"GET BACK TO THE DARK OVERCROWED SIM YOU CAME FROM!!"

"GET BACK TO THE DARK OVERCROWED SIM YOU CAME FROM!!" Bush was already Holy Water to me, so this dude does nothing for me but to fuck up the virtual space I visit to avoid Bush.

That is sad, Nolan. Ruining Second Life for people when the guy has a brain, he's a scripter, he can make money doing other things.

I hadn't seen this thread until this most recent bump, but Cadroe was spot on with "absentee landlord". I also found post #15 in this thread by Linden Lab's largest known customer expressing dissatisfaction with LL's inaction fascinating.
Me, I'm nobody, I don't expect to be listened to. But when a firm ignores the express, public desires of its single largest customer I can think of no more appropriate word than "idiocy".

Why would Anshe care? Doesn't she stand to make money from land rentals since the signs are ruining the mainland? "Iidiocy" might be right, but wouldn't "stupidity" or "dim-wittedness" do about as well? If they have a good money making reason, what would it be?
