Yes, SL and conservatism are a match made in heaven! First you have a great many people who don't know anything about the economy but who want to have a say in screwing it up -- just like in RL. Then you have animals who have sex with eachother -- kind of like RL, except the animals are people, which makes it even more disturbing. There's no real foreign policy to get mad about, but the first two things are more than enough to raise any true, red-blooded conservative's ire. And what's conservatism without snarky, condescending, righteous indignation?

Why do you think I've been here all this time? ;)
