Actually, it would be filed with the U.S. Attorney's Office Ummm...I actually had to ask that question because of a webmaster messing with a website I was in charge of. The initial report is filed with the police local to the damaged party. They then contact the police local to the perpetrator. At least that's what the special computer crimes dept of the San Jose police told me. |

Was doing some prelimnary research ..guess what? Filing is only good if the attacker is in the US other wise its pretty much usless..Go figure cause what federal court is going to issue extradition papers on someone in Zookaria South Africa over an internet attack?

If you are looking for information, whatever was filed will give you a lot. I think you meant that prosecuting is impossible if the person lives outside of the US.
