Of course not.

<frown> Is this what you think of me?

Mel

I asked the question because honestly when I read your post, I didn't know what to think. It was as if you were criticizing the citizens of Neualt and giving this forum griefer of ours a free ride. So I was trying to understand better where you were coming from.

EDIT TO ADD: And also because we (Neualt citizens) are working on proposals for some laid out policies on our forums. The SC has final say, but having a list of forum policies somewhere would be helpful for everyone.

Since abuse reports filed *within* a group forum go only to that group's forum moderators, then I believe a group has the right to manage their forums the way they see fit. If you do not like a group's forum policies, I would suggest staying out of that group's forum.

If someone makes a statement on the forums, I can reply. I didn't "turn" on her anyway. I asked her a question.

Well on Monday morning you will receive your education. No, it's not up to you to disclose my private abuse reports as you see fit. They're private. A certain responsibility comes with the badge of moderator, and that includes not disclosing people's abuse records, certainly not so you can mock the person in question.

This issue is now with the Lindens, and I trust they will deal with the matter as they see fit. I wish to make no futher comment until the Lindens have had suitable time to come to their own conclusions.

What I absolutely love about this situation, is that you were already aware that I was the moderator but you weren't quite smart enough to know that your ARs directed at silencing Pendari would go to me. It is an amazing (yet sad) look into the mind of a manipulative forum griefer and moderation gamer.

What's not amusing is how you have been posting personal attacks to this forum. This is a forum that has been created for the use of those who live in Neualtenburg. It is not a vehicle for you to personally attack members nor cause difficulty within our group. You are not welcome here and as soon as we have the tools, griefers like you will be banned from this forum (pending agreement from other SC members).

It will be an interesting discussion with the Lindens on many levels.

Most importantly, this is the first time our government has run into difficulty with external griefers. Our government-citizen boundaries are tested often but our government-Linden boundaries have never been tested. It will be interesting to see how much responsibility the Lindens are willing to offload to incorporated groups operating within SL.

Finally, since this is our first period of heavy moderation in 1.5 years, it raises many internal questions on the policies surrounding group moderation. For instance, secret accusations and behind-the-scenes trials conducted by the Lindens are not compatible with a democracy. Because we are a democracy, we are required to make public all accusations and all trials. What if open democratic judicial processes turn out to be forbidden by the ToS? Wouldn't that have profound impacts on in-world governments! :)

I'm getting tired of you calling me a griefer. I'm not. How would you like it if I just slapped a bunch of not nice names on you.

Due to continued arguing, this thread is now closed to all folks who are not citizens of N'burg. If you are not a citizen, please take external conflicts to the Off-Topic forum.

Citizens, I encourage your input and discussion.

We are the entire Sim of Neualtenburg. Just type our name under region and teleport. You'll end up right in our townsquare :)

Typical, end discussion that one doesn't like. Censorship is alive and well!

Locking out the voices one doesn't agree with while allowing only those who agree is censorship.

Are you a citizen?
Are you posting here?
So how is that censorship?

You, however, are ignoring a REQUEST not to disrupt our group forum with attacks.
So who is the villain?

But you do post your opinion!

Besides this ... just start a new thread!

Because she hasn't locked me out yet. Give her time. The truth is I haven't given an opinion about the topic. I was commenting on her threat to close the thread to non-residents of the project from which she was going to resign. What I really don't understand is, if she is stepping down because many of the residents lost faith in her ability to be impartial, why is she still making these decisions that require impartiality?

because:

1) the majority of citizens are actually attempting to convince her to stay.

2) Ulrika made no threats of locking anyone out. She REQUESTED that non-citizens be polite and take any of their concerns ot troubles with Neualtenburg to an outside forum.

3) You seem to have no problem ignoring a polite request.

4) She hasn't left yet, and she's not the only mod on this forum.

5) If you have nothing positive or constructive to contribute to Neualtenburg's forum, kindly post elsewhere.

Which isn't a polite request, it's a definite statement of action. The fact she hasn't locked me out yet isn't relevent to her statement.

Kevn, do you have even the slightest bit of desire to join the Neualtenburg project? Or are you just here mouthing off in our group forum because you dislike Ulrika?

I might be interested in joining, depending on how this works out. I like the fact the project supporters pressured her to avoid acting poorly in other threads. It makes me think this project might be something bigger than her personal ego builder. In that case, I think there is hope for free thought within this project. However, I don't think her ability to lock out opinions she dislikes is good. I would hope the governmental system would be revised to limit the power of any single individual. I would think a group of people with differing opinions would be better suited to make decisions concerning any removing/closing of threads. That would reduce the appearance of bias from the one person who has been opinionated in other threads.

To me it's like giving the fox keys to the coup to watch over the chickens.
