I'm getting together a group to work on an Art Deco (1930's era) community project. Details can be found under Announcements in the forums.
So far we have Josh, Sinatra and possibly Jean. We need a minimum of five team members and are currently seeking someone with scripting skills.
Since there is not a maximum number of members do not be deterred if you don't script. Please come to the project with some money, a team spirit and a love for Art Deco.
We are meeting tonight, Thursday at my place on Minna near the border of Ritch at 4pm PST. You can also PM me here or IM me inworld.

We have a great team forming!
So far we have Josh Starseeker, Sinatra Cartier, Catherine Omgea, with support & funding from Kerstin!
We are looking for more people who have a love of Art Deco to join our themed community group. PM me, post here or talk to me inworld if you are interested or have any questions or want to talk about this project.
This is not a Linden funded project.

More details as they come
03-12-2003 09:55
In early discussions our group has come up with these early planning ideas.
We're thinking the Deco community might be placed in a tropical/coastal setting (Think Miami Beach).
Building ideas include an Art Deco Theater (multi use as a gathering place), Deco Hotel (a la Miami) and very possibly a widely recognizable building such as the Chrysler or Empire State Building.
Depending on the setting and availability of a skilled modeler, a bridge or large ship such as the Queen Mary or Titanic would be exciting additions (are you up for the challenge?)
Details such as street vendors, era clothing, bicycles and/or other vehicles have been discussed.
We are certainly in the very early stages. Ideas and input are desired. Although Linden requires a "leader" this is a solid team effort. We are looking for team players with good attitudes who love Art Deco.
Current team member names are listed above and Wednesday & Berry are expected to join us (See us in-world).
We have a very solid, talented team and would love to expand. If you are interested please post here or see a team member in-world

Hi guys,
I cant get into SL. Ive tried the usual reinstall and my drivers are very up to date, v43.
Guess I may have to wait on a new client, it appears the error occurs in NVOGLNT, so its pretty serious lol.
I hope to be able to contribute soon.

Sorry to hear that Berry...
You may want to try reinstalling again, perhaps after defragging your drive.
Hope you can get in soon!

Everyone in this group should re-watch The Maltese Falcon and dig up their old copy of Starship Titanic and play it through again.
(If you've never seen The Maltese Falcon, or never played Starship Titanic, don't tell me as I will instantly loose all respect for you).

Count me in. I want to work on the Theater and the marina. My brother is managing the restoration of one of the last Mann's Art Deco theaters up in northern California (Built in 1938 by George Mann’s company, same company that now owns the original Graumann's Chinese theater in Hollywood). With that connection, I have insight into the style (and photos too) of the Deco era theatres. Plus I need a good place to put my yachts. - Mickey

Oh yea, and Starship Titanic was very cool for its day. Douglas' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy (of five books) is my all time favorite!

Hi Guys,
I still cant gain access to SL. Everything is as it should be, only difference is I am running Detonator 43.00, nvidia still only have 41.09 although most manufaturers now offer the official 43.00's.
The performance boost I have received switching to these is to great to roll back to 41.09 and the only game that suffers if SL.
So I guess I will have to take a back seat on this one until the problem is solved.
Good Luck
