Boreal--I see you made your hill with multiple spherical megaprims, with sliced end points, instead of a single sphere? ROFL, OK, you are now here in-world next to me. I'll shut up now. LOL The media cross!

OK, I tested this out...created a 50 x 50 sphere and hollowed it out, added an opening, and it still acts like a solid--no flying into the center of the sphere.
Am I just doing something wrong, or does it appear that even with the H4 upgrade, megaprims still will not permit normal behavior in treating the hollow nougat center as, well, hollow?
Anyone else finding otherwise?

I created a 40x40x40 spherical airship. it even crosses sim boundaries without ejecting all the passengers!

Megaprims lead to mega lage. We tried making some megaprim sized icebergs in our sim and the lag seriously increased each time. Others have also noticed this. This lag happens even if you make the megaprims phantom.

Another serious problem with large megaprims is that they make the mini-map unusable. For a while I had a 100M diameter megaprim sphere, textured like a moon and both hollow and phantom, as a surround enclosing a large skybox. It showed on the mini-map as a solid 100 x 100 square, wiping out 1/4 of the map. I eliminated it, so I could use the map again. Megaprims in the 20 x 20 M and smaller range don't seem as bad, but they still take more space on the mini-map that they should.

IM me if you can't get ahold of Boreal; she was kind enough to send me a copy of the collection, which is full perms.
As to the mention of lag regarding Megaprims--maybe it's just a Havok 4 trait, I dunno, but I haven't noticed any appreciable lag difference when adding or removing megaprims, and yes I was watching the Stats for before-and-after. This was in using 50 meter cubes.

Nadine, as your Estate Owner, I'll be coming to inspect your build Megaprims are for the most part harmless, however they *can* cause severe issues if used improperly. As such, I do reserve the right to disallow builds using them. Please consult with me if you wish to make any mega-prim structures in the sim. thanks.

Well I've played with the mega prims, and since I can't edit them at all, it was tough.. but I used 16x32's and built a 4 story art gallery with only 9 prims! what a way to maximize space!
If anyone cares to see, check it out at Mun Saari 73/113/22

Darn, busted by my land lady. Actually, Dari, you've been inside my megaprim structures. But if they are found to be a problem, I'll of course take care of it. I'll let you know in the future if I create any other megaprim structures so you can size them up.
