Help: The mysterious missing prim

I have a large floor made out of identical prims (10 x 10). In one corner, the prim simply disappears at odd times. I've had to replace that piece at least 2-3 times daily for the past 3 weeks (it has been there for over 2 months). If someone could please shed some light on this issue I would be very grateful.

-I own the land, it is set to the proper group, and have 1000's of prims available before I hit my limit.
-It does not show up in my Lost and Found folder
-Prims sitting on top of that piece remain
-It is not linked to any other prims
-The prim count on the parcel does show one less prim after it disappears
-Auto-return is set for 10 minutes, so if it was being returned, it would disappear far more often (and I own it....so it wouldn't be on the list)
-It is not close to the edge of the sim
-I have not treated this prim with any less dignity than I treat my other prims, so it certainly cannot be running away due to abuse or neglect

I just cruise over to the boutique and it's gone.

Very sad. I miss my prim. It was a good prim.

Practical Joker, perhaps?

Anyone else have powers over your land? Able to build? Is it group owned?

That would just be horrid!

But alas, no. My husband is the only other person who is authorized to build/delete and he has to replace that pesky prim as often as I do....and since his computer is right next to mine I would catch the little bugger were he up to no good! (wink wink).

I'm marking it down as one of those unexplained flaws.

Good news is I've linked it to another floor prim and it seems to have remained through the night.

Perhaps it just needed to feel like it belonged.
