Final Fantasy Haven

Eggy, Siobhan, and others were talking about an area for the Final Fantasy Lovers club.
I was wondering if anyone wanted to participate in our project.

I don't suppose we'll need any builders...but we might. Wait until Eggy replies, he'll clear that up.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a Final Fantasy Themed place that wouldn't be too impossible to build?

Do any of you have any floorplans for this? I fished out my FF7 startegy guide and there's a couple of external pictures, and I sort of remember the layout. I don't really wand to have to run the game in an emulator just to grab screenshots if I can help it.

... and I have a half-finished Tifa Av too, maybe Kats would like to finish it off.

Not to be problematic (even though I'm pretty good at it) I think it'd be better if we did the clubhouse for Zidane's troupe (can't remember the name) from FF9. I mean the one in Lindblum. Tifa's bar would be cool, but it's kinda small. The place in Lindblum has more of a clubhouse feel in my opinion. Plus I love putting random useless gears on things in an ancient machinery feel. It's just something I feel SL has always lacked.

Heh you havent seen spider mandala's theme for my disco. The bar has two rotating gears on each side and a cyberpunkish overall feel.
I havent played FF9 and will probably not be able to play it any time soon. As for size, well, land is always in short supply and people are always broke anyway
We were thinking of making it group owned so perhaps we should meet and talk about how big a plot will be claimed and who will be willing to support it.
I really think the lindens should allow us to turn monetary participation on and off for each member or something like that. People are having to make two groups for each project and it sucks because you can only be in 10 and the list fills up pretty fast.

You seem to have the impression we'll only be doing one building. I mean, Tifa's is small and simple, and if we want to get newbies involved, a reasonable starting point. We can do Linblum too, maybe the whole city eventually if the Dwell builds up fast enough!

Dwell sucks. The day you girls were there and we had that FF event thingy i only got around 50 bucks and its the most i ever got since dwell kicked in. I like the idea of building a small FF themed village but lets not turn this into one of those massive themed projects that end up getting everyone broke and mad at each other

Actually, I know the feeling.

I used to be able to rely on 120-150 a day from votes... Now ithe Dwell, 55 is the most I've got!

Remember that vote booths and dwell are currently sharing the same pool 50/50... so, $50 now is likely $100 later, etc.

I have some ideas for some FFX builds. I always wanted to make the Aeon Anima, but this is not so much a place as it's more of a creature. A big project would be the blitzball arena (which was suggested to me by a friend a long time ago), a recreation of Guadosalam, the Tower of the Dead, or the airship.

Very nice ideas people!

I think it's nice to start with a small simple building (Tifa's Bar). I have no idea how it looks cause I've never played FF7 but I like the idea of having it.

I would also have to agree with Dio. The Tantalus club in Lindblum has more of a clubhouse feel, and if any FF9 fans are able to build it, that could be our second project!

Right now I have some unfinished projects, but I still want to help out.

It's in Blue, near the border with Grey. Siobhan started building it but its not finished so its just default textured wood right now. I dont know the exact coords... sio?
BTW Kats youre welcome to build your ideas around there... we own all the empty land around tifa's bar.

Actually I made a group donation box thingy but I dont have any sort of image editing software so if any of you would like to draw us a texture for it...
