Hi All,
I have an open air skybox and when people stand up from ANY of my poseballs they are ejected more than 4 meters and fall off the side. I have tried everything and nothign seems to help. Why the heck is this happening? Why don't people simply stand up on the spot where the pose ball is? Is there something I have done that is causing this? Is there something I can do to make it stop? It is basically making my skybox unusable.
Has anybody else had and or solved this problem? Any help would be appreciated!!!!!

I have had this problem in my house, my bed was on the second floor and was too close to the roof so whenever I stood up I found myself in mid air. Any way I changed the position of the bed so that when I stand up there's enough space between the roof and myself. Don't know if this will help but that's my experience with this.

Provide people with a new non-ejecting sit target. This means they will get up from bed by stages, selecting the chair, couch, box, or whatever that is non-ejecting, on which to sit. Their avatar will go directly from the bed "sit" to the non-ejecting seat and then can stand directly from there.

Phantom poseballs FTW
Failing that... raise the roof.

As correctly pointed out at the end of this thread, the size of the poseball has an effect. Make the poseballs bigger to reduce the force upon standing. /52/30/162832/1.html

ejecting seats

My experience with ejecting seats leads me to belive it is caused by avatars being imbedded in prims while sitting. Even phantom prims will cause an avatar to go flying when they do stand up. Make sure the sit targets don't imbed avatars in the seats, make sure there is enough headroom to stand up without phasing through anything, and make sure nothing passes through the space occupied by the avatar while sitting.
