I am trying to make a very thin wire. In Edit anyting below 0.01 just reverts bact to that. Yet I saw a guitare that that had individual prim strings, not a texture, that were substantially smaller than that. Would someone tell me how this is done?

Thanks, Mod

For a straight wire: create a "tube" prim, set dimension Z to the length of the wire, X and Y to 0.01. Hollow the tube to 95%, set Profile cut to Begin 0.5, End 0.75. This leaves only the "inner core" of the tube. Now you can further control the thickness of the wire with the Hole size parameter - setting it to 0.5 will make the wire thinnest.

Hope that helps :)

This was posted in the forums before. It's not mine, it's Zuzi Martinez's work, and it's a fantastic tutorial on getting tiny prims.

Zuzi, if you happen to read this, I hope you don't mind my referring to it. I can't tell you how much it's helped me!
